This is why I prefer the LW over the G-10. And the weight, of course.

I don't mind it, but I also don't see the point to the jimping outside of the thumb ramp and choil.

I find it ironic that they went overboard on the jimping, but there's no jimping on the back to make it easier to close the knife with a sweaty palm.

The Ikuchi is an example of design perfection that the market was/is not ready for...but that's apples to oranges.

If the Manix doesn't hog your pocket, you simply have more compassionate pockets than I.

Native Chief gets it right. If I didn't have a Mantra, PM2 or Chief, I may consider an alternative...
Siren is slim for same ergos and blade length as well

I haven't tried one, and wish I would have picked up a CF/S90V...maybe it's not too late...
So it goes.

I have been in Florida over the winter, my Siren cf s90v was waiting on me when I got home. Check the crazy good deals post they were 173. They might still be in stock. I love mine, light weight best feeling grip on a knife I’ve ever handled, wire clip, awesome scales great steel.

I personally don't like the lock. If it was a back lock or a compression lock I would own more and use them more.
This (strongly). I didn't like the BB lock a whole lot when it was first introduced almost 20 years ago and 20 years later my thumbs have gotten very arthritic, which makes unlocking the BB lock with one hand difficult and painful. I originally wasn't crazy about the compression lock, either, but it grew on me and it is now probably my most preferred lock because I can unlock it with a finger, no thumbs required. Obviously this isn't everyone's use case, but I doubt I'm alone here. :-/

Also, why is the g10 manix so much cheaper than a g10 pm2?.......hmmmm

I'd wager that the tolerances required to have perfect function in a compression lock are more demanding, as is the precision needed to produce that awesome distal taper to a very fine tip that the PM series feature.
Thicker blade stock and complexity of handle machining (on the inside) likely factor in as well.

Still I don't own a Manix the blade shape it's very nice i prefer the translucent model. Maybe the PM2 it'a a more classical model? Maybe inspired from the Military? One of the best knives in the market of all the times in my opinion. For my tastes the plastic knob is not the best I would prefer the classic ball bearing or ceramic one.

That would be fantastic!

I carry my LW's more because they are, well, light weight. But my one folder only would be an M2 backlock and S90V would be icing on the cake.
