Production K390 Jester

#1

Post by bleasure »

is the most rational, plain business sense thing i have ever proposed here. it'd be hard to believe it's not already in the works it's so reasonable. i know i'm not alone in wanting to see new jesters appear, and this would be a very spicy one to just keep in regular production

I hear ya, I'd be down for more than one for sure. K390, Jester, each is awesome by itself but combined? Wow, a winning combination!

Maybe it is already in the works

I'd buy one but I'd rather have a K390 wharncliffe Manbug

Though we wouldn't be able to add it as regular production, but it would make a nice Sprint for those that didn't get a chance to "taste" the design when they were out.

That would work for me. Only have one, in VG10, so I'd love the K390 version too.

I didn't think the Jester would be useless, but I was surprised by how useful it is. I'm definitely in for another one.

I don't know, but I think a large sprint run that could trickle out in suitable quantities to all dealers in all corners of the world would make it more obtainable to more people, than making it a forum knife. I would be happy to get a shot at one either way, but unless a designated forum knife is very attractively priced, buying one from the SFO would be hard to justify with all the added fees compared to buying it from a local dealer.

The handle sure would feel better in my hand. I'm for it.

I like the idea of the Ladybug blade in a Manbug handle, but a Jester blade in a Manbug handle would be pretty good. I'd get one.

True, but I don’t believe many police would risk ridicule in court of prosecuting ownership of such a small knife (here, at least).

Ooooh, Jester style blade in the Urban slipit handle?! Could be awesome. Definitely if upsized or the UKPK. There was a rendering a couple years ago with the Jester style blade upsized for the Dragonfly that I thought was fantastic. But in the end, more Jester of any size is a good thing. Would love it in a Manbug handle.

While we're throwing spaghetti at the wall, a Jester Blade Lil Native could have some potential. Ditch the thumb hole hump and keep it flat like the lil native and then have it dip into a generous Jester style thumb divot. Keep the saber grind and tip the same. Would be a little tank of a knife.

Some quick and dirty photo shop, I tried to keep it within the borders of the lil native blade so it should fit the handle, obviously they'd need to tweak it a little to find the optimal fit.

I don't mind what you call it. I would use one of these.
