personally, i wouldn't use wd-40. i use frog lube paste on the blade if i'm worried about corrosion because it's food safe. i use either kpl or daiwa reel oil on the pivot, bearing, and spring if necessary.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

I have experienced WD-40 to get gummy with time.

Just my experience, but I would not lubricate the Manix 2 LW at all.

I did in the beginning with my REX 45, cause I was worried about potential rust in the pivot area with that tool steel and given that- unlike you with the now screwed model - I cannot disassemble my Manix (pins).

Turned out to be not necessary at all - action good without lubrication, no rust as far as I can tell (i could imagine that the pivot area has kind of a "self cleaning" function due to the frequent rotation and slight friction. Just a guess though).

IF I lubricate a folder: I have good luck with Victorinox multitool oil, can only recommend it.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)
