AG Russell OOS now....I ordered late yesterday and received a shipping confirmation just now. Hope it is a Shaman instead of the Para 2

Update from Russell Knives

I ordered really late, at like 7:30pm central and just got this email.

"March 29, 2023

Right now A.G. Russell Knives has a huge number of orders from our customers that we have not been able to ship. Most of those are for Randall Knives. That situation has been created by the high demand for Randall knives, both from our customers and for their knives in general. In addition the Randall shop struggles to meet their self determined monthly quota due to staffing issues. They have gotten behind in producing our scheduled orders.

A couple of weeks ago, we received a shipment in which most knives were already reserved by existing orders. Because of the long delivery time, it was necessary for our customer care department to call customers for new credit card numbers. Of the half dozen or so that we called, one was sure we had already charged her card.

Part of my intent in talking about this today is to assure everyone that no matter what the order placed with us, we never charge a person's credit card until the product is in our facility, the order has been processed and we are ready to turn the order over to FedEx or USPS. That is the way A.G. established our policies and the way we will continue. We never want to hold your money while we wait for delivery of the product. This is the way most everyone handled credit cards until card processing became so prevalent through websites.

I received the same email, it really has nothing to do with Spyderco knife orders. My knife is moving from AR to UT with a good pace according to the official USPS website

I received the same email as well I ordered mine at around 5:30pm pst. I also called AG left a message and they got back to me, the lady told me as long as I got my 6 digit order number then there should be one reserved for me. Kinda weird though cause I still haven’t got a confirmation email. Not fully convinced.

Had an interesting green sticker on the bar code label of the box, with the printing: SPC81GPBN.
Probably a Russell thing ?
