OT: lighters
Even if you don't smoke do you still carry a EDC lighter? If so what kind do you prefer and why. I think a lighter might prove to come in handy some day so I have been carrying a black Brunton Helios it fit's the bill nicely for EDC. Be safe, mjmcdowell

Of course. I've never smoked, but a lighter comes in handy in research. Burners don't light themselves, you know!
I like a brushed brass Zippo. Hard to kill, reasonably cheap, waterproof and windproof. I'd like that 18K Zippo from AG Russell's catalog, but it's a touch pricy.
The Man's Prayer- I am a man. But I can change. If I have to. I guess...

I also don't smoke, but I carry a lighter now and then.
I used to have a cute one, with a quite low profile, with two triggers, one for starting ignition, the other one was popping out a switchblade just near the flame. Was looking like a present from my friend Bond - James Bond Parted with it some time ago.
Now I use a chippie. Reliable and I don't bother if I lose it somewhere.
