YES!

Yes! That’s so well stated it made me a little emotional to read it. Granted, in America we have a serious weight problem, but you can still eat cookies. The trick is to buy a BIG cookie, one of the plate-sized ones. Then you cut it in half before eating it. My wife says I’m getting the same amount of calories when I eat both halves in succession, but she’s wrong, because she’s not factoring in that each half is much smaller than the whole cookie. I can still fit through most doorways, so this trick is working for me.

Anyway, the point is that you need a big XL knife to cut an American-sized cookie.

Many people don’t realise that in the UK cookies have to be under 3” and non-locking.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

A reply both hilarious and disturbingly true! An ex girlfriend’s dad who was a police sergeant gave me some sound advice about carrying knives in the UK, which paraphrased went a little something like “coppers generally aren’t D*cks, so as long as you’re not being a d*ck with it we won’t be a d*ck about you having it”. Wise words.

Such a wonderous thing exists - it used to be my treat of choice in Singapore (where I currently live) but the Ben’s Cookies on Orchard Road shut down over COVID 😢 Devastated.

Gail says you have to add molasses & Walnuts to your cookies. A full meal deal.

As a Brit I had no idea there were so many potential permutations of cookie, and they all sound delicious! I would never have thought to soak my raisins in rum or add molasses, but both sound glorious! My personal favourite up until this point has always been milk chocolate and candied orange peel, but I can see I’ve been living under the proverbial rock when it comes to cookies 😂
your 'biscuits' are undoubtedly healthier, but our cookies are loaded with butter, sugar, freedom, and bullets, so they taste way better.

seriously though... cookies are wonderful and should be enjoyed by all. and something about knives.... oh yeah... a large mule would be an even more outstanding camp knife.
😂 this is the thread that just keeps on giving today! I’m beginning to wonder if I jumped the gun calling this thread ‘Mule XL’, when ‘Cookie Cutter XL’ now seems more appropriate.

@Sal - if this ever comes to pass as a knife, could you discretely shape the Spydie hole like a cookie or laser etch one on the blade? That would be joyous. Forum knife 2023 even?

Ah, those halcyon days! MASK, Thundercats, Brave Star, Transformers, TMNT, the list is long. In fairness 80’s cartoons and cookies are both very compelling subjects for discussion.

So what steel do you guys think would best suit a 6inch turbo mule/cookie cutter? I’m inclined (at risk of sounding boring) to lean towards either Magnacut (I live in the tropics where even rust gets rust on it) or something as tough as old boots like AEB-L?

Thoughts?

I’m sorry, but double stuf Oreos are the true abomination. If any “cookie” was abominable, it’d be those. Have some cookie with your cream.

I don’t think I could resist using an XL Mule Team to scrape the extra cream off of every single double stuf Oreo I come across. That’s reason enough for it exist. The longer edge would maximize the amount of Oreos I could exorcise at once without having to wipe off the blade.

I’ve never come across a ‘double stuff’ Oreo but they sound sugary! Each to their own 👍🏻

I realize it's gauche to talk about knife steels in the middle of a cookie thread, but yeah, I think the tough steels would be ideal in a larger mule: Magna, AEB-L, 3V, 4V, CD1, 14C28N...those would get my votes.
