It's a Seki product, I'd be happy with the laminated ZDP and HAP40. I like the idea of different colors. It's a great, classic design an I'm always glad to see it get some love on the forum.

Something I find interesting, is no screams for updating the Centofante 3/4 to screw construction like the Manix. Is that because it's just not as popular design? I'm all for keeping it as is with relatively minor tweaks as long as it stays in production and it keeps the price very reasonable.
And MG2 you are so right, the lines of the wharnie are exquisite!

I think I’ve probably suggested this before in one of my requests for new versions of the Centofantes.

K390, Hap40, ZDP189, and even Super Blue versions, with the added bonus of screw construction, would all be genuinely perfect and probably pretty popular.

I’ve also always wanted to try a Vesuvius. They are just such good designs that fit a lot of my preferences.

An update would be great , but would not be as easy as for example the Manix2 . A liner would have to be added ( my guess ) to update so could be an overhaul . Could Spyderco do it ? Sure anything is possible if the market would accept the idea . I would love to see a new model but I’m just one person in the void . :smlling-eyes Dan

The bug recently fell out of my C3 - it was the second Spyderco I ever bought, many years ago. I should get a new one.

(A sprint in Super Blue with the same gray/blue zome as the recent Dragonfly would be killer. Or K390. I guess ZDP-189 is off the table...)

ZDP-189/410 SUS is apparently still on the table.

I’ll add my support to a Centofante update and/or sprint- screwed construction would be a major upgrade but not necessary. I also really like the wharncliffe blade shape. It’s a beautiful, functional design with a touch of class.

Nice one Dan ! I would really love to meet you and check your collection with you one day ! Seems like we have similar tastes (meaning we are not too difficult, if there's a Spyder on it we will most likely like it :squinting-tongue).

I only have a Centofante III but I can already tell that I like Frank Centofante's design language. It's elegant and it works.
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

I saw a C4 wharnie on ACK. The $195 price was too steep for my taste, but YMMV.

That's a fantastic rumor, Sal. An updated Centofante would be sweet.

Does the rumor say "wharnie"?

(And should you like to give a hint: We sure then would not have heard it from you, Sal ;) )

Thanks!
Since Sal did not specifically mentioned "4" I was not entirely sure what he is referrering to.
