I'm not sure. A Virgin Folder doesn't make sense, neither does a Chaste Folder. Perhaps he meant something else and it is a typo?

"Vestalin" (in German) is a roman priestess for the goddess Vesta (and yes, they had to be virgins as far as I know) - this is all I can contribute, still not clear what the OP meant...

Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I looked up vestal, roughly translates to pure?

If that's what you mean, then for me it's the Endura that I pick and the last one I'd part with if I could keep only one.

The reason I think the Endura is the purest is that it's everything I need and nothing I don't: Slim in the pocket carry balanced with large task capability due to the great edge-to-carry-length ratio.

Would be my choice too, though I´d want the regular shaped, ffg, VG10 blade in SE (does not come like that, just either in another steel or in wharnie shape or in sabre grind).

Now the Stretch XL is a very close second - the Endura though is just so familiar to me, always feels like "coming home" when I grab one of mine, and has an a bit stronger tip.

Agreed, my fave is my K390 PE but if only one than I'd take a SE VG-10 as well for it's corrosion resistance and the longevity of keeps cutting even when dullish serrations.

I'm also still waiting for the regular FFG SE VG-10 model to drop so I can buy one, but still all I see to date is a ffg se Endela or a k390 se Endura as the closest I can get.

I was thinking it was an auto-correct and he meant "versatile". That would make sense for picking only one knife. But I wasn't sure.

That might be; my answer is the same if that's what the OP meant.

Serrated Pacific Salt, in either H1 or LC200N, doesn't matter, which ever one I'm handed! Probably the LC200 cause I love that Green!

Looks like there's a theme forming! I'll still take the liners and (more corrosion-prone/slight better edge holding?) VG-10, but since it's just not available in FFG, this knife is a contender for me at the moment if I can't hold out long enough for FFG SE VG-10. I've never had VG-10 rust but I don't frequent saltwater environments.

I think it’d be the upcoming Military 2. Especially in micarta, with a K390 blade.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Love all of the love for Seki knives here. The Golden made knives made be the trendiest, but for pure use the Seki knives are unbeatable. It would probably be the Delica Wharnie for me. I wish there was a Cruwear version.

Agreed, but make mine a yellow SE H-1. That was my first Spydie and it has never let me down. I spent my 20's working at sea (marine engineer) and it saw heavy use in many engine rooms. I've taken it diving, spear fishing and on all my travels around the world. A remarkable knife.
Okay then, it’s my old yellow SE H1 for me too! Here she is relaxing!

OP could also mean which folder would pair best with a Vestal brand watch?

Probably not though. I'm going with a Pac Salt 2 SE. I've got both H1 and LC200N and they rule!

it's so great to scroll through a thread like this and see pac salt mentioned so many times. honestly, my choice would be a manix, but i would hate not having a pac salt also. it's such a popular model. i wish we could get a wharncliffe pac salt in lc200n.

Once again LB makes a great call . I would love to see a PAC Salt Wharnie myself . Dan
