Old school Military screws

#1

Post by ThomC »

Spyderco family !
European forum member here, back after a long hiatus.
I just purchased an old serrated Millie for a steal, because it's missing two spine screws.
Does anyone know if the size is the same as the newer ones, so I can purchase replacements ?
Attached are pictures of the actual knife.

I think "super tiny" is a close approximation. I'm so glad they moved away from screws that small. I have one of the older versions like that but I don't have any way of measuring the screw, might have to call Spyderco or see if Sal or somebody can chime in.

My advice would be to send those pictures intoSpyderco customer service and ask for replacements. They might even ship them to you for free.

Welcome back, by the way Thom!
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Haha thanks, it's been quite the hiatus with work and life, but I got the spark back when I saw that knife.
I'll let y'all know how it goes when it gets here.
