In the pocket, it is a bit bigger than the Para. When open, the blade is something sweet to behold, that is what I was after. I like it. I wouldn't mind getting the new Bowie when it comes out.

I've been toting it around a few days now. The PM 2 is an awesome knife with a so, so clip. Like I did with the Para 3, I will swap out the PM 2 clip. Meanwhile, I also fancy the Manix 2 but that will have to wait a while. I just had Cataract surgery and my insurance did not pay squat. 😡.
So, For my first Spyderco knives, I think I did pretty good with the Para 3 and PM 2, they were a good solid start.

Hope the surgery went well and helped your sight!

/ Whenever you´re ready for the Manix, consider the lightweight version (said that already, I think) - especially the base version will cost you less money, its BD1N steel is really nice imo (for how very easy it sharpens up it holds [EDIT: "held", I don´t have the base version any more] a pretty good edge in my use), the knife is surprisingly solid and rigid for its weight and you´ll be able to taste another flavor than G10 with liners (to be clear: Of course the G10 Manix is a great choice too, but in some aspects "more of the same" of what you have already).
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Hi Mr. Wartstein,
My eyes are getting better everyday. It is amazing how good my vision is now.
Anyway, I just added the new clip to the PM2.
Regarding the Manix 2, I was looking at them yesterday and saw the BD1N Manix 2. The BD1N is not my first choice but it would is a good steel for corrosion and you are right about easy sharpening. Edge retention comes in just under D2. The chart that I'm looking at shows BD1N to be a good mid range steel. The thick blade will help make up for a low toughness rating.
I called Spyderco and found out that the new Manix Light versions will come screws in place of rivets.

Mr Legofwhat,
I'm not sure of the reference of candy. I would agree with Beef Jerky! I can cut it with a knife.🤪

It's just a reference to a silly movie from the 70's with a beloved character, that gets a delivery of a candygram that explodes. He's a brute of a guy who punches out a horse. Blazing saddles is the movie.

I love the jerky as well :drooling

Yup, Blazing Saddles, That's where I got the name Mongo from.
Back in the late 80's, someone tried to run me down at a gas station in Orlando Fla. He was in a Ford Bronco II. I had no place to escape to so I jumped on to the hood rolled off to the drivers and punch the truck with a closed fist shattering the back left window.
He sped away never to be seen again. Looking at my hand, amazingly, the were no cuts, bruises, broken bones, or pain.
