Definitely not my cup of tea, but I'm sure it'll be great for some people. More options is always better. :)

I like it. I want one. I wish that blade shape was its own model.
From the Spydiehole forward, it’s a cool looking blade shape but there’s something about just slapping it onto a PM2 that just looks wrong to me. I’m sure it could have been a great model on its own.

Lose the fuller and the top swedge. Then reduce the blade height. Maybe then it wouldn't look like such an abomination.

so... a standard pm2, then? :rofl

this one doesn't appeal to me at all, but as they say, there's a butt for every seat.

Oof. SpyderBusse!? Definitely not for me.

I'm glad Spyderco takes design chances. Sometimes, even often, i like the outcomes.

I'm glad they are doing this. I love the concept in trying this for a blade. I would love to see more hollow grinds and I would love to see more dedicated models with this grind. With that said, it looks so odd slapped onto a PM2 handle. A for effort.

I think it needs a sleeker handle. Something that is streamlined and matches the design of the blade. Maybe we have just seen the PM2 handle too much and it strikes as a mismatch. We need someone with fresh eyes. :winking-tongue

ImageOne thing for sure not the first blade with a fuller . I agree it’s not a design for everyone. I’m still curious about it . And like blade variation on a PM2 . Big question what steel is going to be used showed CPMS30V . That may be a deal breaker since already have enough of that steel in the PM2 .

I really think that anyone should hold it in hand and play around with it a bit, do some cutting before they make a final decision on this blade shape. To me personally it is an instant yes, hopefully the skeptics can get some time with it in person and see it up close.

Looks like a Kershaw catastrophe.
Gads! I wish I could unsee that. It’s like a contradiction of everything that makes the PM2 so wonderfully spare.
Definitely NOT one I'll be interested in

This is generally not my style of blade, but I'd be a lot more interested if it were done to a Shaman.

I do really dig this new blade shape. It’s not exactly how I’d have done it, but I think it’s very Spyderco and the closest thing to a knife I’d get for my dad (he’s currently carrying a saber ground combo edge Endura).
Like I said, I like Bowies myself, as well.
I think if you changed this PM2 Bowie much, it’d be too complicated of a shape to fit the idea of a function first Spyderco Bowie that’s also a PM2, if that makes sense. The fuller is the only part that’s more style than anything, and I think that’s good.

I think I'd like it better with a longer top swedge and without the fuller. Excuse my horrible Paint skills.

Spyderco May be using the fuller to help balance the knife. That’s a big chunk of steel.

I would prefer the removal of the lanyard tube and slim out the butt.

If we're messing with the butt shape I'd like to see a coffin style. Feels more cohesive with the bowie-esque blade.
