Just because your logo is on the blade doesn’t mean you always get the knife first.

Love my Manix but not going to lie I might try for the Shaman, would be my first.
They nailed it on the shaman, love the stonewashed pocket clip and backspacer.

I’ve been disappointed with Shaman BTE thicknesses for all except for my first one, the CruCarta, so I was wondering, is your 15V Shaman thiccc behind the edge too?

Problem solved by replacing Maxamet with BBB15V in the standard line up. Reserve Maxamet for limited sprints going forward.
I'd be all for keeping, say, one or two of the Maxamet models (PM2 and Para 3 maybe?) and changing out a couple to 15V (Manix 2 and Native perhaps?). Maxamet is really cool stuff too, but day to day I strongly prefer 15V. I'd like to see Maxamet continue to be offered, but would really like 15V in the standard lineup. It's really good stuff.

He looks great, going to give you a run with that look. I have two boys, 10 and 14. The older one was easy but the young one gives us a run.

Also cool end grain cutting board in your picture. Something you made?

Just realized, we never got a Maxamet shaman - so 15v will be the closest we get

Yes, I am glad that this has been brought up again on the forum. :smlling-eyes

A few knives that have surprisingly never been made, yet.

Shaman K390
Shaman Maxamet
Manix 2 G10 Maxamet
Manix 2 G10 K390
Manix 2 Lightweight K390

I am very thankful though, that 15V has been available in the Manix 2, PM 2, and soon to come Shaman. :bug-red-white

That shaman is looking really good. I really don't need one since I managed to pick up the manix, but it's still tempting.

It would be sad to see maxamet disappear from the standard lineup. If 15V was introduced into standard production, I'd imagine maxamet sales would take a big hit though.

You're on a roll. That looks like a sure winner for the next Spyderco March calendar photo.

I’m not sure how long it takes to set up for a specific steel, but they could alternative 15v and Maxamet every other year. Just a thought.

Checked out at g&r tactical and got an order confirmation email. ****, didn't expect to get lucky that early. I was using the pushover app with the provided email, I put it in as my forum email and enabled the alert thread notifications. Worked like a charm. Notifications come significantly faster than with the other email apps.

Congrats man. I may try to grab one, but Spyderco has been killing my wallet lately with all the sprints and exclusives that have dropped within the last month or two lol.

I really wish the release would have had a little more time between the pm2.

Traveling to Africa this week, going to be hard to get that drop. Anyone know if Spyderco.com would block an African IP????

I just connected my VPN to South Africa and logged into spyderco.com, added a knife to my cart, and went through the checkout process except for the actual purchase. That all worked fine so I think you'd be okay, unless credit card company flags it. Safe travels!

It's getting serious now. Hard to not pull the trigger on some of these early ones. But want to wait for some more familiar dealers.

I hate stressing over shipping, returns, customer service etc.

I don’t see as many dealers listing the Shaman, like they did for the PM2. It this going to be a much more limited run?

I don’t know if I would expect it to be a significantly smaller run, but maybe they sent fewer dealers more knives each to try to address some of the frustration with the other releases. Just a guess though.
