Great job Spyderco, a lot of cool items in this one. I would be tempted on the Shaman in 15V but I think my Manix in 15V will hold me off for now.
i'm really glad to see the manix come first since it's my favorite. i can't help but wonder though if it would've been so hard to get if it had come after the shaman and pm2. and i wonder if there will be some reasonably priced 15v manixes now that people will be able to get the steel in designs they prefer.
I see it going two different ways:

1. The Manix had a very small release. I did not count but with most retailers getting only 5-10 to sell I feel like there were less than 500 Manix 2 sold. The PM2 and Shaman could be the same.

2. Sal said 15V was much easier to work with than Maxamet. So maybe 15V will replace Maxamet, for the most part, and be widely available.

I am not sure how it will plays out but I am very happy with my 15V Manix at $157. The Saman would rock, but at $270, it is just more than I would want to spend.
Endura AUS-8, Manix 2 S30V, Alcyone BD1N, PM2 Micarta Cruwear, Native 5 Maxamet (2nd), Para 3 Maxamet (2nd), Magnacut Mule, Z-Wear Mule, BBB 15V Manix 2, REC PM3 10V Satin, Dragonfly Salt 2, GB2 M4.

I don't need another small fixed blade, but I dig the lines on that Stok drop point, which look very insingo-like.

The k390 Enuff 2 apparently being the same price as the VG10 version is convincing. It’s trying to convince me to get a VG10 serrated and k390 plain edge, I mean.

Amazing! I must have that K390 Lil' Temperance 3 LW. My favorite Spyderco of the last several years.

.....

i'm definitely surprised by the lt3 in k390. it's already a very expensive knife. is it really doing that well? too bad it wasn't the leafjumper or rockjumper being revealed in k390 instead.

......
I was surprised to see the Lil Temp 3 LW in K390 too. It leads me to believe that sales numbers do not entirely determine what knives get K390, because I was also surprised to see the Enuff 2 in K390 when the Enuff 2 in VG10 still isn’t out yet.
...

Same here.

I´d have rather thought that the Stretch XL (FRN) would get the K390 treatment. Actually even hoped so, since this is the platform I´d like to try that steel in.

The Enuff 2 in K390 is really cool though and quite intriguing...
s2xl in k390 would make my life difficult because i'm holding out to try that steel in a different model. :winking-tongue

Oh man. Here we go the 15v on a sham. I am in 100%. They need to expand k390 in the golden models, period. I want a k390 shaman so bad, guess we are getting closer. Excited to see what else is in store for 2023.

I doubt you'll be correct on both points. Folks who got the Manix will definitely double down on their knives, and despite having 2 more models in 15v, unfortunately (for afis) the Shaman and the PM2 are arguably the best sellers in the lineup and I'm afraid the bloodbath will be worse this time around.

I'll try for the Shaman, but given how extremely hard the 15v Manix drop has been, and you're competing also with the thousands of Facebook spyderco fan group members also trying for these sprints...I'll only stress myself out. I have a bad feeling that the forums are gonna be rife again when these drop.

i'm sure you're right about the bloodbath. fortunately for me, i love the manix and don't care for the shaman or pm2. i hope everyone can get what they want though.

Military2 Compression Lock CPM-S30V Black G-10 for a street price of $196.00 is a big winner considering the original Military Liner Lock CPM-S30V Black G-10 now has a street price of $238.00.

I was hoping for a Native5 in 15V in addition to ParaMilitary2, Shaman and Mule Team.

Lil' Temperance 3 VG-10 FRN for a whopping street price of $176.40 made little sense and now Lil' Temperance 3 K390 FRN for a street price of $217.00 begs even more credulity. I can only see them being discontinued after a couple of batches are produced.

I wonder if we'll see a 15V sprint in both the Military and Military 2. It would be awesome.

The K390 LT3LW comes as a bit of a surprise for me (a pleasant one). Definitely getting one.

Also surprised at the K390 Enuff 2. Not sure if I'll grab that or the VG-10 version if & when I eventually get an Enuff 2 (though a stainless steel generally fits better with my uses for a small, outdoors-oriented fixed-blade).

The new Stok has me intrigued. The drop-point looks like it could be a good bird & trout knife or a small food prep/utility knife.

I'd love it if I could grab a Shaman in 15V, but I've had mixed luck with Sprint Runs.

Happy to see the Military 2 finally revealed, but I'll wait for a blacked-out Digi-Camo variant to match my PM2 & Para 3.

You really need to get one of these in hand before making such a judgement. It is probably the beefiest folder Spyderco make and is on a whole different level than the other frn Seki models. It makes the Shaman seem flimsy but has more acute geometry than either it or the Military/Paramilitary families and is consequently a better slicer. $176.40 for the VG10 model (I have the SE version) represents solid value and $217 for the K390 version makes the 15V Shaman seem very overpriced.

Most knife buyers, outside of this forum, will not see the value of a knife with VG-10 & FRN for $176.40. Lil' Temperance 3 with VG-10 or K390 ($217.00) and FRN have a very narrow niche at such prices.

While not as “beefy” as Lil' Temperance 3 the RockJumper & LeafJumper with VG-10 & FRN for $92.05 are solid values.
