In a worst case senario, I would just need a member who would accept to receive the knife and forward me it at my own costs and risks.

Do they ship to France as well ? I would be in for one for my daughter.
Ramonade has posted several times about ordering mule team releases to France from SFO, mentioned in October that delivery took 10-11 days and said back in February that shipping cost $45.

I tried mailing a small package the size of a softball to Austria for Christmas. The cheapest rate I found was USPS (classic postal mail) for $42 for a package about 7" (~18cm) square and less than 1 pound (<500g). Freight to Europe right now in less than commercial quantities is really expensive!

The few items purchased from the EU recently appear to have been bulk shipped and were repacked in the USA for final delivery FWIW.

I looked at shipping a Spyderco knife to France last week via USPS first class and the rate was $24.45.

DLT's TiCN Cruwear Dragonfly in OD Green FRN was $88 shipped and a better looking knife.
$138 plus tax for a Dragonfly?

$110 MSRP for satin. The previous super blue dragonfly (with different scales + cladding) was $105 MSRP when it dropped in 2018. That's a 4% increase. Can't really expect costs or inflation to go down, or expect that the maker ought to sell below their MSRP. Their shipping cost is what it is.

The one from 2018 had a street price of $68.22 including shipping. This one has no MAP price.

That's why I am comparing the MSRP. This release is SFO only so can't compare MAP right?

Bottom line, you compare what the customer pays in total.

I’m just overthinking a little bit but in my opinion the Zome colors on this one have a certain “law enforcement” aesthetic. It’s only set to be available through SFO at MSRP, providing OPFocus members a generous discount off MSRP. It gives OPFocus members, such as law enforcement, ample opportunity to purchase a nice sprint run at a good price.

OPFocus members get the satin version for $55 and the TiCN for $62.50.

It costs less than I paid for a super blue Dragonfly on the secondary market a few years ago :'( :grimace

A little buyer's remorse with that one. And these look nicer imho. I think Im in for a coated one if I can squeeze in an order before work.

Worried the coated one isn't DLC so it might scratch. But does look great.

ticn will absolutely scratch. i like the way it looks, but if you want it to stay looking new, you'll have to not use it or carry it.

Both can scratch uncoated and coated. Dlc even marks up and scratches. I like the looks of ticn better imo.

I'd pay that price, but I'm not eligible. Taking a pass on both, so two more for others.

It's generally why I avoid a coated blade but a lot of times they just look better. It is always a struggle for me.

You may be surprised at what looks like scratches will come off on DLC. A little bar keepers friend goes a long way. I have thought before some metal scratched up my DLC. Cleaned it with some soap and wipes and it would not come off. Took out the bar keepers friend and it completely came off.

Now that being said, I like the looks of a laminated blade. Especially, when the core steel patinas.
