as soon as the para millie comes out, I'm buying a se for left, pe for right.
currently have been carrying the se/frn(ats-55, 98 model) endura on left, and rotating my right side carry. Today was the pe calypso jr lt(vg-10, 01 model) and se cf 'fly.

i had read a while ago that they were teaching tactical classes that stressed having a knife on both sides for access during a confrontation, a SE right side for
primary defense and the PE left side for utility and back-up left handed defense, the ambi endura is the best choice between size/cost/and ease of use.

Man, BE AWARE of THE CONSEQUENCES by carrying 2 folders and posiibly a fixed on top of that! Sure, you may survive the encounter but then you'd be "living" in a cell with two other guys for who knows how long! Prior to becoming a Corrections Officer, I trained a lot of LEO's and I used to carry all over the place...sometimes FOUR blades. But then when they made me aware of legal issues, I only carried one, sometimes two at the most. But my main carries were rotated depending on where I was going, the weather, what I was wearing etc...they were usually the Delica, Endura, D'fly's, Crickets, and the Rescue Jr.
Research your local laws prior to leaving your property with three...train smart and stay safe. Aloha!

Tactically speaking, it is good practice to have mirror-image tools available on either side (with full muscle-memory ingrained for deployment and use).
Practically speaking, I don't think it appropriate for me. I do, however, always carry the same knife in the same place for my "emergency" knife (weak-side back pocket) while my strong side has a firearm and an EDC utility blade. If I had no firearm, though, I'd be more inclined to keep a mirror-copy of the emergency blade handy.

In the event that you are attacked and cannot reach your strong side knife, a knife on the weak side might come in very handy.
I carry my Emerson CQC-7B on my strong side, and my Dodo on my weak side. I wouln't choose the Dodo as my primary weapon, but if someone was choking me to death and I couldn't reach my primary or get out of the hold, then the Dodo would do just fine.
I'm aware of no laws that forbid the carrying of 2 or 3 knives, especially small knives like the Dodo or the Native.

i know that might seem like alot of steel for EDC (2 and a fixed) trouble is i am used to packing heavy as a former LEO, my EDC formerly was a Glock 27. i am familiar with the local courts and if you are forced to slice and dice a perp they will most likely try to hang you regardless of what you were geared up with.

Welcome to the Spyderco Forum.
Sometimes I use to carry my SE Delica on the right and my PE one on the left. But this for utility purposes rather than SD.

Depending on where I'm headed, I occasionally carry two Delicas, one on each side(one SE, one PE). The SE has almost never been used; the PE is EDC. I find myself not going to such places so much anymore, as I get older - which is hopefully a sign of wisdom kicking in...
Haven't ever been even in a shoving match in my entire life, haven't even been pulled over (ever!) after 25 years of driving, and I don't ever want to be in a threatening situation. But, in such places where it might happen, I'd prefer to be better equipped if things really get out of hand.
