Post by RamZar »

Looking forward to the 2023 Spyderco Product Guide, Retail Price Guide and “Reveal” Volume 12 which should be out sometime between early December and early January but certainly by the start of the 2023 SHOT Show on January 17, 2023.

I’m usually carrying larger knives but I’m curious how the microjimbo and lil native wharncliffe compare.

They’ll have different locking mechanisms and blade shapes with blade lengths in the 2.5” range.

All of the ones listed would be pretty great, but only the Manix Salt is a must buy for me. Let’s hope the new year brings only one more knife! :rofl

Current Lil’ Native G-10 folders come in both Back Lock and Compression Lock. The prototype FRN one shown in January 2022 had a Back Lock.

Blueblur was asking about the Microjimbo and the Lil Native Wharncliffe. Those two knives will not have different locks. Based on what we’ve been shown they will both have compression locks.

You’re right. I didn’t read the word “Wharncliffe” for Lil’ Native. As such, both MicroJimbo and Lil’ Native Wharncliffe have Compression Lock. We’ll probably see the Lil’ Native Wharncliffe sooner since it was Revealed in September 2022.

I cannot wait for the M2LW Salt - I am genuinely excited! I live in the tropics at the moment and it is a constant battle to keep my work knives from turning into rusty messes in my pocket. I sincerely hope they will be able to be produced in sufficient numbers to meet demand, what with the global logistics turmoil.

I’ve been hoping to pick up something in Magnacut, but haven’t seen anything that I couldn’t resist. The Manix has been on my short list for a while, but I’ve never owned one. This offering checks two boxes for me and is quite exciting.

Cheers Mike 👍🏻 Your designs are a joy to use. Looking forward to the Microjimbo - it may well oust my lil Native for my permanent pocket companion spot.

Oh man, this Microjimbo sounds awesome. Just got my first Yojimbo 2 recently and I love it. Manix 2 LW Salt sounds great as well. That might be my first Magnacut blade.

Isn’t t there anything totally new coming that is not either a Lw version off.. or a smaller version off… or same knife different lock off… ?
Not to make it rain on spyderco’s parade or something but i really mis completely new models like all other makers do, because they used to be the very best at this. :worried
Rather see a new Rheinhold or Bradley or shempp or southard or … then always the same stuff shorter or lighter. :flushed
