Question about PM2 CQI

#1

Post by electro-static »

I just bought a PM2 from DL Trading (The S90V sprint run) and noticed the the edges on the G10 were chamfered and comfortably knocked down. My old PM2 in maxamet didn’t have the knocked down G10 on the edges, and was a lot less comfortable until I took some sandpaper to the edges.

My question is: Did Spyderco recently start knocking the edges of the G10 for the all PM2 models as part of CQI, or just this sprint?

It really improves the knife for me, feels very different in the hand. The Code on my Maxamet PM2 is: KT, the code on the new ones is KU.

Thanks Again, the new model is great.

All my PM2s have had chamfered edges, and that goes back to my first in 2012 or 2013. I think your Maxamet might have been a one off.

There was some chamfering on the Maxamet PM2, it’s just that the new one’s Chamfering seems like it’s knocked down more.

Ah gotcha. Any chance for a pic of the new one? Might be able to compare.
