The Stretch XL and the BBB Manix are the only things that kept me from buying like 3 more knives. Considering I want 2 of the Manix, my knife budget is already $600 this month. And I just bought Christmas presents. Good as some of these deals are, I passed on all of them that weren't presents for someone else.

I betcha spyderco will have a corporate meeting discussing the amount of sales that was captured this weekend with the MAP holiday. They need to do this every year!

Ugh.

Despite the high currency exchange rates, I have 4 SE Salt H1 knives incoming...no thanks to you enablers here.

I figured that it's about time to test whether the hype behind SE H1 is legitimate or not. SMKW and Knives Plus has some of the best H1 deals around so far, WMK would have been the champ except they are sold out on the H1 SEs I'm looking for. Plus, the free knife and trucker cap from SMKW just adds a nice cherry on top of their sweet deals.

This thread has been better than christmas morning! Some truly amazing deals out there, and really fun reading through all of the excitement here.

I scored a Police 4 LW from Knivesshipfree for ~$90, and the new Lil Temp 3 LW from Indiana Knives* for ~$140. I'm definitely happy with those deals! I've got my wallet clamped shut pretty tightly for now, but I'd be lying if I said I won't be keeping an eye out for any last minute deals throughout final day of the sales..

I have a feeling the 2023 price increases are going to be tough pills to swallow though, especially after this MAP holiday!

*has anyone who's ordered from Indiana Knives black friday sale received a shipping notice yet? I ordered on Friday morning and still haven't gotten a shipping notice, which is not necessarily out of the ordinary, depending on the retailer and their weekend hours, or lack thereof. I've never ordered from them before, so I'm not sure if this is standard or not. I see they are on the Spyderco dealer locator, so I'm not too concerned.. just wondering.

For Cyber Monday Casey Lynch will be dropping his mod 2 TI Delica scales. Kinda like a skinny mod with a finger choil. He will also be selling some anodized ones with blades, vg-10 and K390 on some.

The ones I saw were the DLT s90v PM2 ($140 currently), teal Ladybug ($40), standard Endela ($40), and some lanyard plug gitd thing ($12).

A week ago that would've been a good value. This weekend it's rough for anyone who purchased it. It's worth less than if you picked them out individually, and there was nothing gained for not getting to choose what you want.

Maybe I'm just a cynical person but 'mystery box' has always said "you wouldn't buy this if you knew what was in it" to me.

I always read it as "you'll probably get one good thing you may want and then filler items we're having a hard time selling".

Ya you hope you'd get at least one good one right?

Not sure I remember. Was there a difference in price? The two listings I saw were both the $270 or $280 one I think.

A couple new/reduced deals. Indiana Knives has the Lil Temperance PE for $125 and Siren sprint for $179.99 (was $186).

People on the fence due to MAP prices on the Lil Temp should jump on this deal.

Not sure this is a deal or not, but the Goddard is available at Knivesplus for $189 if anyone is wanting one.

Edit: I noticed a few more older discontinued models randomly browsing.

Just saw a box 2 with the two DLT exclusives (1) 20cv black blade, black/red zome Endela and (2) purple Cruwear PM2

Also from the discussion of that one, it appears the other set is box 1

Wonder if every box is different. Box 2 was cheaper but seems better. My luck I’ll end up with all cheap knives lol

Ok, sorry for the semi-on topic question, but I don't know where better to ask: if you got a new, let's say dragonfly this weekend, and after taking it from its bubble wrap in its box found it had some kind of lint stuck all over the blade oil, and in the backlock itself, would this be reason to wonder if this was actually used/returned? Or does anyone else occasionally get a knife with lint/dust of some kind in it? Just haven't encountered it before, gave me pause as this is a gift. Thanks!
