The is a little heavier and a tiny bit shorter than the G10 Native. It feels slimmer in the hand due to the very neutral handle vs the Native's more contoured grip. Every surface is smooth as is the blade opening. However, it is in the middle sized range.bleasure wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 2:06 pmHm, good point and good question. I guess the thing is, I have enough knives that any real *needs* are covered already. I have a BK9. I have several species of pm 2/3. I have a native 5 m4, strech2 zdp, wolfspyder, df2, a metric ton of classic Camillus knives, civivis, excellent axes, good tools. I don't exactly need either, but both would be used well and find plenty of time in my pocket.
One question I guess is, the spyopera *looks* like a small knife, which is what I'd want from it, but it's apparently native 5 sized? Is it smaller in hand than that suggests? Bc if it's more truly medium than small, I'll go with the GB2 I think.

Re: Black Friday Deals
If MAP is not removed throughout the year, it should at least change from the current 30% off MSRP to 40%-45%. It’ll have no effect on what Spyderco charges dealers & distributors. The effect will be street price relief for the consumer. Of course, what we don’t know are MSRP increases effective January 2023.
There was no MAP before January 2016.
40% off MSRP JAN 2016
35% off MSRP JAN 2018
30% off MSRP JAN 2020

I just snagged a PM2 sv90 from DLT. I'm pumped; it's my 1st PM2!

Re: Black Friday Deals
I've been good. Only thing I grabbed was a GiantMouse Jutland. I recall like the lines of it.
I was tempted by a whole ton of Spydercos... But most of which are knives I basically already have. But definitely considered one of the PM2 exclusives (especially the $140 DLT S90V version), the K390 SE Police for $124, and some of the better frn deals. But I've just got so many FRN knives... All of which are great, but I just can't justify another basically the same.
Hope all have gotten what you all have wanted! Some incredible deals, and definitely feels like the pre MAP era, when the deal hunting was much more fun.

Thanks. I didn't see that.
Also, alternatives are good. Some people stay with dealers they know and have an account with.
It's good to see the Sprint Runs on sale as well.

Yeah good points. Have to figure some of these, especially sprints/exclusives, will sell out before the end.RamZar wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 4:10 pmphaust wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 4:03 pmI think that's cheaper at Indiana Knives, posted a few pages backRamZar wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 4:00 pmSiren Sprint Run Satin S90V Carbon Fiber Back = $195.00 (44% off MSRP) instead of the usual $241.50.

It's also hard to keep track of all the dealers and where everything's cheapest with so many places with different discounts!
Re: Black Friday Deals
Picked up a Stretch 2 XL from WMK.
Re: Black Friday Deals
Yeah, I was sorely tempted by that Chief and also Shaman pricing at KSF. Ultimately went with the FRN models I've been wanting to try since I usually carry the LWs more but it was a close thing.

Muling that siren from knifecenter with 20$ off card or smkw pm2 exclusive. What’s better

Trying to resist the Knife Center Yojimbo 2. Tell me why it is a bad idea (Yojumbo not being a reason).

Re: Black Friday Deals
You're coming here to get talked out of buying a knife? You'll be told to get two at that price.
Seriously though, I just purchased the KC Hap40 Delica for $124.78. Better still, I plan on making my own wooden scales. Never done it before.

I would certainly be *unwell* on my laptop if I did that. Protip: Add up what you "saved' and remain blissfully in denial. I *saved* about 400 in the last 24 hours, so...

Re: Black Friday Deals
terrible idea now that I think about it. Just tell me it is too small. Finger grooves don't line up. Too wide in the pocket. I want to hear all the bad.
I bummed I missed the Manix in this configuration and at $136, it is really hard to suppress your curiosity on this model.
