For those who do order something, is the shipping charge still high? I tried to check myself, out of curiosity, but since I use a VPN for general surfing the site flagged me as possibly fraudulent.

Load time indicates something's off, but...wow, seconds straight from Spyderco! Good for them. I guess they've decided to compete with seconds-sale flippers! A S110V Manix for $58? Wow! Not for me though, I tend to dwell on imperfections and wish I'd spent more to not have them. Note: "All sales final."

The G10 version is not much more and it would make a great basis for s110v + Rockscale titanium scales!

Quick someone buy them up before I weaken.

Here's a pic of the listings for anyone who can't get to the page as of a few minutes ago. More models keep being added every few minutes it seems however. For example, I noticed the Urban sprint got added right after I uploaded this, $150, and the regular Yojumbo for $90.

edit: latest pic with a bunch more

That’s so incredibly disappointing to see! - :vomit Some prices are even better than the in person sale. Feels kind of deceptive.

Edit: prices actually are the same once sales tax is calculated in. I wasn’t not accounting for sales tax online. :sick

I thought the prices were based on how bad the "defect" was?

Price is determined by model.

I was trying to figure out why there was a PM2 under a Para 3 in price, and this seems like the answer? The lower the price the more obvious the defect?

Nope, it’s by model.

If you went in person, you'd have the pick of the best ones right? Aren't these the "worst of the worst" leftovers for sale? Not to mention there was a gazillion more models at the in person sale.

No, it’s not the “worst of the worst.” Spyderco needs to sell these seconds sight unseen, so these are likely some of their better seconds.

In person you can physically examine the knife before buying so it will match that buyers standards a lot easier than a second being purchased online. It’s difficult to fathom the actual amount of knives available at the sale until you see it in person.

Seeing lower prices for seconds online after traveling thousands of miles to attend in person makes me feel betrayed. I’m in a unique situation though as I’m the only one that travels that far for the in person sale.

Well, he did travel 2000 miles, spend several days camping out in temperatures as low as 7°F, and watch 6" of snow fall to get his seconds. I can't really fault him for feeling a bit betrayed seeing them listed online for others to shop from the comfort of home.

And once again, I type too slow.

Well, first order made. PITS + ZDP-189 Mule for me, plus a few lightweights to complete my holiday shopping list for others. Will have to check back to see if they keep adding more models.

Had to reactivate my account, since it's been so long since I made an order direct from Spyderco. That was kind of a pain with the long server load times.

Edit: I had to complete the checkout process twice - the first time I hit "place order" my browser timed out and I got logged out of the website. I checked my credit card balance first, to be sure I hadn't already been charged, then proceeded to check out again.

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Got a Maxamet Manix and PM2 for gifts. Let some of my friends try some good steel that's usually too expensive for a gift.

I tried and tried, but kept getting timeouts. Pretty disappointed, I had 10 new knives in my cart. Couldn't get to checkout for some reason.

Edit: Finally got through with my 11 knives. That was almost as bad as the Magnacut mule release.
