When we were given ours at the seconds sale they told us that they hadn’t been released into the general public yet. Maybe a small shipment made it to a dealer before it was supposed to?

One online retailer with 5 knives. Plus the lucky, but well earned, few that received the signed knives from the 2nds sale. It's currently my rarest Spydie! It's possible that I missed them somewhere but I've been watching pretty closely.

You’re right. Perhaps Spyderco is holding them back but I hope they release them this month because the street price of $284.55 is already up there.

I just snagged a frn version and it is an absolutely amazing knife. So far it seems to have the potential to be one of my all time favorites. It’s like Sal put the Military’s blade in a Stretch2 handle. That combines two of my favorite knives. I would love to buy a premium version of it and this G10/Cruwear looks terrific. I haven’t wanted a knife this bad in a while.

Unfortunately I don’t think I want it enough to drop that kind of cash on it. Time will tell and I have folded before, it’s only money after all. It’s too bad that Japanese G10 is worth its weight in gold. This will probably be one run and done so I better make up my mind sooner than later.

That's awesome you're enjoying it so much! Seems the consensus around here is that the FRN variant is a winner. I've got a fully-serrated S2XL in my pocket today and I like it. Haven't quite fallen in love yet. Time will tell..

This is my favorite Spyderco construction method. Full liners, thin scales, solid mid-backlock. Can’t beat it. Well, you could but it would hardly notice.

BFK, I just received my second FRN version. I love it. But the weight and price of this version will likely make me sit this one out. If I had a different line of work where I needed something sturdier than FRN, I'd be all over this. One of their best knives IMO!
