You know, in contravention of my previous post in this thread, I would go for a blurple Yojimbo 2. S110V might, on the surface, be antithetical for the Yo2's SD-focused design, but considering how most people probably use their Yo2 primarily for box-cutting duty & other workaday knife tasks (I know I do), I think it might be a good blade steel/design match, and put the Yo2 more firmly in line with the other flagship Golden models.

A few years back S110V was my favorite steel and the Yojimbo 2 was my favorite EDC and all I wanted was that combo to come together. The closest I got was a few S90V sprints.

In general I wish they had pursued more blue jean colored handle colors too. Many of us loved the idea of a self defense knife that blended in with the pocket it was clipped into without needing to completely hide it with a deep carry clip.

I'm sure some enterprising person out there has already made & sells aftermarket denim micarta scales for various Spyderco models. Those would blend in with jeans well, I would think, though micarta scales would probably not stand up too long to the Yo2's secondary use as a pain compliance/blunt impact tool.

Oh no I wish I was that talented. Big Chris did it a few years ago before he got super busy making his own knives. The amazing thing is I asked him to leave the bevel intact as much as he could, and I'm all but certain I got it back with my edge still on it, and you can see the bevel is TINY. He's very precise with his grinding skill.
Impressive thin regrind! I have a few thin Militaries, and they are cutting machines. 👍

I've decided to keep this one thicker at 17 dps and see how it goes.

A few others. I still prefer the navy blue colour of the FRNs.

Has there ever been any talk of doing a run of s110v/blurple in the Seki line? I'd love an s110v Endura.

Moving this question from the Military 2 thread.

The above video and pic from that thread shows that there is a difference in the blurple between that OG Military and the 2. The 2 is darker, less purple, and more transparent. Some of the previous pics in this thread also seem to show that the OG Military has also been updated, so it should not be simply a difference in manufacturing between models. Also, the newer OG Military has a silver clip, whereas the older one has a black clip. Is this when the change in scales was implemented?

Black clip, old blurple:

Silver clip, new blurple:

I like the idea of an s110v Shaman. Textured finish on the g10 though. Not smooth. For whatever reason the smooth g10 gives me grip issues on the shaman

It would be nice if the bodacious gets S110v.

A blurple G10 UKPK would be a nice addition. Possibly in a different steel?

I just picked up an S110V para3 to put some custom scales on. On my sharpening bench at the moment. I decided I don't give this steel enough attention.
