No need to explain MAP; I’m not new here. I’m just expressing disappointment at the prospect of possibly spending more than I was expecting to so soon. But what is $23 in the grand scheme? Nothing, if I’m honest.

I have been thinking of letting one or two other Manixes or other knives go, so if I do manage to get one, it’ll almost be a wash. I suppose that complaints aren’t really necessary, so I’ll see myself out.

Sometimes dealers price their Exclusives higher than MAP and if it doesn’t sell they discount it.

The Cutlery Shoppe Exclusive ParaMilitary2 Wharncliffe Black DLC had a MSRP of $236.00 which means a MAP of $165.20. However, when it was first put up for sale in April 2022 it was $189.00 which is 20% off MSRP. Later and now, CS is selling it for $169.00.

This!!! It looks like a toy. Been trying to convince myself I like it, with all the hype, a lot of people do like it but it just does not do it for me no matter how much I want it to.

Forget exclusives, 204P compared to the basic S30V is about the same performance for a lot less money. For about the same money you could get the S110V version and have better performance.

Not that this is not a cool knife, but if like me your not crazy about the colors there are better options for the money. I am just happy I am not the only one who does not like the color combo, thought I was going nuts.

you have to compare coated to coated though. it's less than $10 more than the dlc s30v. if you don't like it, please don't get it. i really want one.

I hope you get it, REC does make some cool stuff. You are probably right about the pricing but I was talking performance vs look and I consider a DLC on a stainless blade more for the look. A DLC on a tool steel is probably a good idea. I do have to admit a flat DLC does look cool.
