Endura in 52100

Would love to see an Endura in 52100, ideally in dark grey or dark green scales. Can we make this happen?

I'd rather see it in 14C28N. It would still have the same toughness, good edge retention, and be stainless.

Or even AEB-L which is claimed to be like a stainless 52100 if heat treated properly.

I’d buy an Endura in 52100! I would prefer a Delica, but either would be nice. 52100 takes some care, but is an amazing steel!

I'd buy a Delica, but maybe we can get both.

I accidentally swam in a pool for a few hours with a HAP40 Dragonfly and it was no worse for wear. Is 52100 more easily corroded than HAP 40

From what I have read it patinas easily and can rust easier than many steels we get to enjoy, but I've also read it takes an amazing edge and just wants to get sharp. Sounds really enjoyable from my perspective. I would be interested.

I’d love that. I’ve yet to own a knife in 52100…every time I see a Millie pop up, it’s at some obscene price

Wouldn't a knife like this have a better chance of seeing the light of day if the steel was from Japan? I'm not exactly sure how these things work. What about Hitachi White? I believe SRS-13 or SRS-15 is supposed to be like CruWear. Not trying to yuck anybody's yum.

Maybe Super Blue would be better suited for this?

There was already a super blue endura and a vtoku-2 endura.

I have a vtoku-2 endura so I dont really need one in 52100.

However I do like 52100, I have a 52100 pm2, and would like to see another run of sprints in that steel.

Maybe we can get a 52100 military 2.

14C28N is an upgraded 13C26, so I think I'd prefer the 14C28N. I have knives in both and both perform about the same, but maybe the 14C28N has a bit better edge retention. I like it pretty well.

Maybe a naive question, but apart from the joy of having one (something I have a complete understanding for) - wouldn't something like CruWear be more interesting than 52100?

Me too. I also liked the Super Blue and V Toku 2 versions . I wouldn't be against a 52100 Endura but I'd be more excited for a Cruwear Endura. That has eluded me so far and I want to live to see one while I can afford it and still get enjoyment from it. :)

Man, everytime this comes up, I really hope DLT is watching. A DLT Cruwear with the OD Green like they did with the Delica would be a hit.

As much as I love 52100 (and I think an Endura 52100 would be awesome), I think this would be an even better, more interesting idea!

But yes, why not both?

Heck, if we're going tough budget carbon steel, and it's gotta be Japanese, SK-5 is fine. In the same vein, has anyone ever had a knife in Yellow Steel? I never hear anyone talk about that lineup. Always seems to be the ultra-budget or ultra-lux with those Hitachi steel lines.
