Still very excited for this one.

Same here.

Though I never even held one I know that the Caly 3.5 definitely is "my" kind of folder.
Even more so in FRN...

Of course I do hope for an SE variant... :smirk
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

It is such an efficient size with a great blade shape. I'll take it in any configuration. Favorite would be a blue G10 with SPY27 if I'm a dreamin. Lightweight being one of the options I would snatch up in a heartbeat.

My camera angle must be funky because the PM2 an Caly 3.5 have practically the same edge length.

But the lock-rock is fixed, yes?
That’s my main concern ! Lock-rock is a dealbreaker for me.

I was positive that the LW Caly 3.5 would be revealed at A'dam this year. Good thing I didn't lay money on it.

Is it know that it wasn’t? Are people allowed to talk about the things that were revealed but can’t take pictures of?

They're not allowed to even think about what they saw.

The maker for this model is a smaller maker that generally requires patience.

Patience duly noted. Still as excited about this as any other upcoming Syderco product.

Hope for an SE version. Like the Stretch XL came in PE, CE and SE right from the start.

Yes, all 3 options would be great, especially at the initial release.

Hoping these hit shelves this year.

Sal.

Is K390 a option with this maker? That steel with the profile and geometry of the 3.5 would be insanely slicey! Oh and thank you so much for the continued commitment to high performance steels, I'm blown away by my 15V Manix .

I’m cautiously optimistic about an frn caly. I just hope it’s not the same frn as the modern bi-directional texture pattern and something a bit more subtle and elegant to suit the design. Kinda like how the calypso jr. Got it’s own special premium kind of texture with the fishscale pattern.

I’m a bit late to the party here, but does anyone know if a Clay Jr is in the works as well? Would love to get a production K390

From what Sal has mentioned in various posts it seems the glory days of the whole Calypso/Caly line are coming back around and, if I guessed, I'd say sufficient interest/sales will fuel rereleases of multiple versions of the family.

Fingers crossed for them all!

This is my feeling too, efficient and great blade. Love mine, and despite it's good looks, it would see more pocket time if it were FRN.

I hope we can get a laminated ZDP-189 or HAP40 3.5 lightweight.

Yeah! That fishscale was/is a wonderful, grippy pattern on FRN. Feels good, looks good.
