I've got so many old school Spyders I want to see resurrected that I don't even know where to start. But one that keeps looming over my head and won't go away is the hopeful return of the C-44 Dyad>> yeah the original, full sized, double-bladed Spyderco model that has gained a lot of fans over the years.

If they could remake the C-44 Dyad with either the original Micarta handle or a really jazzed up G-10 handle would be good.

For the two blades I would like to see the full Spyderedged blade made with either H-1 or LC200N. Then the full plain edged blade with either M390 or Cruwear. And I would like to see some type of lanyard hole or attached lanyard device so it can be used in fishing or other boating activities.

Baby Jess Horn, saber ground, serrated, ditch the lanyard hole and move the clip right to the end, Magacut or LC200N, all stainless or ti hardware, bone/bolstered handle like the 20th anniversary Delica.

K390 Endela with no finger bumps in the handle. Just a smooth, continuous curve.

Done.

Just a manix 2xl in magnacut, full flat ground plain edge and contoured micarta scales. The ultimate knife for almost about everything. The cbbl lock is ambidextrous and you can move the clip in four positions.

There are a few dream Spydercos for me at the moment.

The first one would be the Salt UKPK with black hardware but dark green scales and in Magnacut with a SE leaf blade. To make it perfect the back shoud be closed. Although I never had a knife in Magnacut this would be an instant buy of a few copies.

Then there is the Manix 2 XL. A PE blade in K390. A titan cage, full, non skeletonised liners and natural Micarta scales, maybe even with slightly rounded edges. A closed back would be fantastic.

The third one is another Manix 2 XL. Magnacut with a SE and a dark color for the G10. Green would work. Why not make it a salt with a closed back and a titan cage.

These three are the knives I would buy without any second thought.

Fun topic! Here are some of my "dream Spydercos":
  • Schempp Rock Salt with slightly thicker blade stock in either LC200N or Magnacut
  • Jumpmaster 2 in either LC200N or Magnacut
  • Yojumbo trainer
  • Li'l Temperance 3 trainer
  • A DLC-coated "non-Salt" version of the Caribbean (maybe call it the "Hispaniola"?) in either K390 or M4; with the same textured G10 scales as the Caribbean but in black & OD green
  • A blacked-out Ronin 2 in 14C28N
  • A blacked-out Yojimbo 2... oh wait, I already have that one! :winking-tongue

Something like the Spartan Blades Phrike Combat Knife 4.25 inch blade or Winkler WK Operator, 4-1/8th inch blade with S90V.
Either of the following might work. Going to have to think on this just a bit:

Spyderco Subway Bowie, 2.80in LC200N blade
Enuff 2, 3.93in VG-10 blade

My favorite designs are the Manix 2 LW and the PM2.

My favorite Manix 2 LW is the Rex45 model and I can't think of any way I would want to change it.

Now regarding the PM2, I would like to see it with black polished linen micarta or polished G10, and contoured similar to the Vallotton Sub-Hilt. There is nothing else about the PM2 that I would like to change. If I am specifying everything about it, I would choose Rex45 or K390 steel.

If I could bend the rules a little bit I would propose a LW PM2 in Magnacut steel.

I'd like a midway point between the Endura 4 and Police 4, with linerless G10 scales (OD green if I was able to select colour), and CruWear steel. Screw-together construction and backlock like those models already have. Deep carry clip standard from the factory. And a possible sprint run featuring K390.

I think I am 100% satisfied with the GB2, Chaparral 1, Draginfly 2, Mantra 1 and Watu.

But for fun, if I could have anything, these would be nice:

Dragonfly made in taiwan with partial liners

GB air with a pocket clip or an improved detent

Phil Wilson Sprig in K390 or M4

Serrated watu, Mantra 1 and Chaparral 1
-Spencer

Rotation:
Gayle Bradley 2 | Mantra 1 | Watu | Chaparral 1 | Dragonfly 2 Salt SE

Magnacut Kapara with textured but still contoured Red Carbon Fiber (fat carbon, dyed conventional CF or dyed marble CF doesn't matter which really), red ano standoffs instead of backspacer and different blade finish (shiro-like glass bead blast?)
