DLT CruWear Purple G10 PM2
Re: DLT CruWear Purple G10 PM2
I wish these things would just sell out and quit tempting me…a PM2 is way way way down my list, and my knife budget is currently flatlined, but I’ve been wanting to try cruwear

Who knows what the supply of these was, as far as demand it might be the timing as lots of people like myself finally got the crucarta version recently.

This would make a cool Endela. They haven't done a fully lined G10 version of the Endela yet. Hope to see it!

An Endela in Cruwear and G10 in DLT’s purple would be quite nice. But I thought Japan and G10 are no longer spoken of in the same breath.steelcity16 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 2:03 pmThis would make a cool Endela. They haven't done a fully lined G10 version of the Endela yet. Hope to see it!

I was weak.

I picked one up. Excellent steel + color + price in my opinion. You can’t beat it. I’m surprised they lasted this long. Awesome job, DLT & Spyderco.

Makes senses what you're saying about the infusion of COVID-19 relief money being handed out to most people, therefore nearly all sprints & exclusives, along with Hinderer XM-18, CRK Sebenza 31, and Microtech being sold out within a few minutes of their drops.Rinzler wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 12:00 pmDuring the early days of covid there was an incredible amount of money passing through people’s hands. Or the above is wrong and the combination isn’t that desirable.
However, I don't think these aren't selling out as quickly because of the color & steel combination. Purple G-10 & CruWear seems like a big hit with most of the members on this forum. It could be that people are getting a bit worn out from all of these exclusives PM2 drops these past 6 months or so.
Maybe that's why SMKW is still holding out on their PM2 exclusive Satin versions of the Lava Flow scale & Jungle scale. Because if I remembered correctly their Satin Arctic scale was released about 5-6 weeks after the initial DLC Arctic scale.

I think you're right on point about inflation, money, and priorities. I've seen a lot of people, on multiple platforms, saying how much they want this drop. So I don't think it has to do with color and/or steel combo.Rinzler wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 12:00 pmDuring the early days of covid there was an incredible amount of money passing through people’s hands. The Crucarta production version being in stock everywhere doesn't help either I imagine. If this would have dropped earlier in the year, I'd betcha it would have gone much quicker.

Re: DLT CruWear Purple G10 PM2
Do we have a clue about order volume? Maybe DLT really increased the order size over what we’re used to.
Re: DLT CruWear Purple G10 PM2
Part of the reason for this PM2 not selling so quickly is that there have been 39 ParaMilitary2 Exclusives & Sprints since March 2019 (past 3 years).
That’s in spite of the fact that the DLT Exclusive ParaMilitary2 with CruWear & Purple G-10 at $158.20 is $30.45 less than the regular production ParaMilitary2 with CruWear & Brown Micarta at $188.65!

It’s also comparably less than the production S35VN PM2s. It’s a fantastic knife and price point!RamZar wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 1:21 amPart of the reason for this PM2 not selling so quickly is that there have been 39 ParaMilitary2 Exclusives & Sprints since March 2019 (past 3 years).

Re: DLT CruWear Purple G10 PM2
I caved on this. Already have the Crucarta PM2, but purple is my favorite color and I’ve grown to love CruWear. Also, I’d gotten rid of my other G10 para 2s, so it’ll be nice to have one again.
Slightly obsessed…
Re: DLT CruWear Purple G10 PM2
I was holding out on getting this one as I've spent a somewhat irresponsible amount on knives recently, but the knife kept calling... So I answered the call. Looking forward to my first paramilitary 2!

Re: DLT CruWear Purple G10 PM2
I got mine fast, a day earlier than the original shipping estimation. My first PM2. The purple is a little more muted than I would be *most* happy with, but it's a gorgeous knife overall. The edge isn't as sharp as some spydercos out of the box, but it displays *zero* evidence of a factor burr in both function and when I feel for a burr with my thumb, so I'm going to call it a very decent factory sharpening job. The blade is ever so slightly off-center which is zero issue for me, and the action is just a *tiny* bit stiff, which I judge as perfect because it means it's going to work itself in perfectly. I haven't tried to remove the clip yet because I'm expecting a LynchNW clip to come in soon and I may as well wait for that to switch it to tip down. Overall I really like it and I get why the PM2 is such a popular model.
Re: DLT CruWear Purple G10 PM2
Mine showed up this morning, quicker than I expected! Also, a lynch clip I had coming for my k390 BBS pm2 showed up in the mail at the same time, so that went on the cruwear one and went right in the pocket! Now I just need one more clip
I like using my brain around people smarter than myself.

Oh, also zero lock stick. I feel like DLT and Golden really hit it out of the park on this one.
