New member here!

Post by huyfishin »

How’s it goin everyone! New member here from Canada . Just starting my spyderco collection! I been using the endura 4 for about 10 years now. Recently just decided that I like knives and this would be a fun hobby lol so I got myself a ladybug 3 salt and fish hunter. I’m mainly a kayak fisherman and I play in the salt often so I figured the fish hunter would be great incase I get entangled with anchor line, fishing line and and crab trapping line ect.

Welcome to the forum! :smlling-eyes

The Endura 4 is actually my most favorite folder of all times and all brands... reading your post, I think the "salty" Endura, a Pac Salt 2, would be perfect for you... ;)

Btw: You are not the only Kayak fisherman here: Surfgringo / Lance Clinton is a "colleague" of yours, he even designed two cool knives for Spyderco: Siren and Waterway (I have and love the latter, a great utility fixed blade!)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Welcome to the forum. The Endura is a great knife to solely use for 10 years. You chose wisely.

As Wartstein said, the Pac Salt would be a good fishing knife in a format you are already familiar with. And now the choices are endless. God Speed!

Hey huyfishin, welcome! I enjoy fishing too. You'll find the entire Salt series interesting. As others have already said, it's hard to beat the Pacific Salt.

Welcome to the forum! I am a long time fan of the endura also. For your kayak hobby a salt would be fantastic. I use a Pacific Salt 2 as our dog walking knife as it’s an all weather companion.

One more thing, since this seems to be a frequent question:

- Should you reply or submit a new post / thread, and that does not show up on the forum: See HERE viewtopic.php?f=11&t=88927#p1496705
