Caribbean Hawkbill? Do you want one?

#1

Post by VooDooChild »

So the Hawkbill Grail thread got me thinking.

Theres a lot of us who missed out on the Superhawk, but like the idea of a large compression lock hawkbill knife.

Theres also a lot of us who missed out on the Spyderhawk but want a large salt hawkbill.

Why not use the caribbean?
Giving it a quick look it seems like you could get a hawkbill blade to fit in there. Might have to have the tip come down past the lanyard tube a bit.

The Caribbean is a large salt series knife that most people like. A hawkbill blade option would be amazing.

What do you guys think?

I prefer narrower handles as I have small hands, and the yellow and black is a little loud for my tastes, but I would absolutely buy one if they made a hawkbill.
👍🏻

I've never actually handled a Caribbean, I might love it.

I already have 2 Caribbeans, plan to get more ( MagnaCut lightweight, I'm looking at you ;) ) and I would definitely buy a hawkbill!

I think it would be a great addition to the Caribbean lineup.

Didn’t vote.

I think it’s more likely I’ll find a used SuperHawk before Spyderco approves a Caribbean Hawkbill’s high production costs.

And, while I love my Caribbean Leaf, I would not, as a SuperLeaf owner, regard the SuperHawk as too big a step down.

Thats what I want, I had just assumed they would probably never come back. But in the other thread sal is batting around the idea of an frn version.

Frankly I would like to see any large hawkbill in the catalog.

I'd like a large salt hawkbill with a compression lock, yes!
