Could have sworn Spyderco released a knife in M2 at some point between 2007-2014 but sesrching around I can't find anything. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, thought it was the first Bradley folder.

No M2 listed in the archived product catalog at Spyderco.com. My first gen Bradley is M4, FWIW. I do remember there being a lot of requests for M2 at one point.

I noticed CPM-154 is missing from Spydercos chart and website.

I thought they had only used 154CM?

That was my understanding as well. RWL34 is effectively the same as CPM-154CM, though.

The Darn Dao and Respect use CPM-154. There's also the CPM-154/CPM-S90V sprints. There could be others I'm not aware of.

Just glanced at the updated list... is it missing ingot Cruwear? I only saw the CPM version listed.

IIRC, the Cruwear mule was ingot steel, not CPM.

I tried doing some research on PD#1 and Cruwear a few years ago. I swear I remember reading a post by Sal about testing Cruwear and saying it wasn't bad for ingot. But the Mule was CPM according to Sal.

Some interesting history to share;

Many decades ago, being a knife Junky with fewer choices than we have today, I purchased a Gerber folding hunter with a steel called "Vascowear". I really liked the steel, probably still have the knife around somewhere. I contacted Crucible and asked about it. They said they had the chemistry and had made the earlier steel. They said they could make it for me. They called it Cruwear.

I ordered enough to make a "Mule Team" run. When the steel came in, they informed me that they had powdered it for me. I was surprised and pleased to have CPM Cruwear. (I like powdered steels). The Mule Team was very popular so we began using it on production knives. The knife afi's like it so we're planning more in the future.

More recently, another foundry began making it and calling it Z-Wear. We'll be using it as well.

Wow. Thanks for finding that bit of info.
I honestly had no idea about that one.

Like I said I have found conflicting info. Maybe Sal tested samples of ingot Cruwear but when the bulk order was placed they powdered it? Only Sal really knows so maybe he can chime in.

Thanx for the support. Now maybe "youse guys" can help us pick some new Mule Teams?

The Cruware Mule is getting ready to be released again. CATRA tests were quite acceptable, especially for an ingot steel. The Elmax Mule teams are on the shelf for the next release. Then ???

Probably needs a new thread?

I suppose I was. Didn't realize it was out yet but a quick search revealed a couple folks have one in-hand already.

Added to the list. Thank you.
