Endura-sized "Native III", anyone ?

#1

Post by edb »

Hi Sal (and everyone else),

I love the Native III I bought about 2 months ago - the contoured handle is exactly what I've always wished Spyderco would offer (the thicker handle, perfect finger choil placement, etc.)

Although the trend seems to be towards making smaller blades, I would love it if Spyderco would consider a closer-to-4-inch-long-blade version of the Native III. I carry my Endura during the weekends, doing yard work, camping, whatever. But having that great Native III-style handle on an Endura-length blade would be wonderful!

Anyone else thinking along these lines? Any thoughts about making such a folder, Sal?

Thanks

Are you primarily interested in a Endura with a 3-D handle like the Native III, or a bigger Native III?

Welcome to the Spyderco Forum.

How about a larger g-10 version?

I think they should just put the 3D handles on the Endura and Delica. No need for an entirely new model.

The last post is basically what I was thinking - there's no need to completely redo the Endura. If a 3D handle could be put on the Endura as an alternate Endura model, that would be great!

...or, a larger version of the existing Native III would be equally great!...

i feel that spyderco should make a huge knife. cold steel has there 5 and 6 inch voyager behemouths, and camillus has their 5.5 inch knives. i belive they are also making a sprint run of some 7 inch cuda maxx's. i would love to see a spyderco that approached the 6 inch mark.
