It’s the nicest true CF you’ll ever see and handle. It was also used on the 40th Anniversary Native.

If I recall correctly, the street price used to be $215.97 in August 2017 and now it’s $277.20!

Every time someone asks whats the nicest knife Spyderco makes this knife is my answer. Especially when it was only $215. Lot of people slept on this one.

I think many thought it would always be $215.97 so they kept delaying getting one.

Well ****, with this and the Frandon it’s going to be an expensive month. I going to need some time before the Urban and Yojimbo drop! My luck the will both be next week.

The S90V Fluted CF was the one I wanted. Then they announced that they decided to not make it. So I bought the 40th Anniversary Native for a really good price from one of the members here. Then awhile later....Surprise! we're going to make the S90V version after all! haha I'm not upset. I'm really very happy to have the 40th Native. I keep telling myself I'll pick up one of S90V Fluted CFs but there's always something else on my radar. At the rate it's going the street price is almost what I paid for the LNIB 40th Native. I guess I can always do a blade swap if I want but I like that Damasteel Thor pattern way too much to not keep it in it's rightful clothes

I love this one, this is my most prized possession when it comes to knives.
I'm so much in awe before it that I find it hard to use it ! It's the king of my sock drawer.
(Still manage to force myself to carry it for classy events)
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

$215 these days, I'd easily pull the trigger. $277 though...EEEEEEEEE!!!! Tempting with those DLT points, as well as getting a bunch of new ones for the purchase.

I bought mine on eBay in July of 2018 for $187.18 when they had a 20% off deal going. I really miss those EBay deals!

Yeah, I paid ~$180 for an unused one, second hand. One of the better deals in my collection.

$280 is a lot, but it's still a better deal than that upcoming Urban.
So it goes.

Yeah it $277 it's not likely to happen for me now. I'll just carry my 40th Anniversary Native that I really like and it's already paid for. Too many other things to spend my fun money on these days. The knife hobby has been taking a back seat to the other hobbies (shooting, drone, 3D printing)

Just using the BLS CPI inflation calculator, $216 in 08/17 is about the same buying power as $245 in 12/21. That doesn't take into account material specific impacts from the last few years, so $277 isn't too terribly shocking although it does seem quite high.
