Re: Playing favorites
If there could be only one it would be the Cruwear Military. If I could keep a second it would be my Super Blue Delica.
Those have probably been my two favorite knives for many years. Since then I have bought well over 100 folders and at times I get enamored with something new but if I had to sell them all off those would be the two I would keep.

Re: Playing favorites
PM2.
But, I have lots of favorites in my pile. I don’t acquire Spydies I wouldn’t favor, and I do unload my rare mistakes.
The pared-down PM2 is my easiest to use, and is easily my most useful. It is my least imperfect Spydie.
And it’s nice to have both Sal’s and Eric’s intelligence baked in, as well as not to be legally hampered where I live my life.
But, possessing now some 60+ different Spyderco models (≠variations) after 10 years, I have lots of experiences I still want to have with them, so I repeatedly change out what I carry whenever the spirit moves (which is often), even if what I carry is a bit more imperfect than a PM2 (case in point: the grail I did not know was calling me until recently, the ATS-55 Bob Lum and its VG-10 sprint).
My arrival at the PM2 has taken awhile. It and the Manix2, along with an SE Pacific Salt, are the first models I acquired after the Tenacious got me here a decade ago.
I have loved the Manix2 since day one. Not so the PM2, which I acquired simply because of the raves here.
First came my grudging respect for it, then my admiration of its smarts, then actual hormonal involvement…

I answer this question the same way, year after year. Helps to have variety of steel in these models. I have been stuck in my ways, when it comes to , for some time.

Re: Playing favorites
Gun to my head… Cruwear Delica.
A Cruwear Wharncliffe Delica, or Cruwear Straight Spine Stretch are about the only 2 knives that would change that.
(Perhaps said models in Magnacut too, if it truly does behave like a stainless version of Cruwear).

Rockjumper. It led to me selling off my other user Spyderco's. Nothing else felt as good in my hands after I got one.

Re: Playing favorites
Thank you. I was tempted for a while to try and catch them all, until I realized how costly and futile it would be.
Just want to add the S90V fluted CF variant, and possibly the MagnaCut model, then I'm done for the time being

Re: Playing favorites
My #1 is the UKPK 110v.
Ridiculously lightweight and easy to carry, perfect ergos for my hand, stays sharp forever for the light tasks I need it for, cheap enough to easily replace if I ever lost it/broke it, and surprisingly, I have found that I really don't need a lock for most tasks as having the safety choil is "good enough".
Sure, I might grab a Manix2 if I'm going to the recycling center, but for the most part, all the other models I own are for luxury/fun since I really don't ever do much heavy duty utility work and if I'm going to do food prep, I'll use a chef's knife.
I'd say the only thing that might unseat the UKPK for "most likely to be in my pocket" is the rumored Caly lightweight, as I'd rather have a lock than not, even though in practice I haven't found that I really *need* one.

Re: Playing favorites
I could live with my K390 SS Stretch.
It would be tough to part with my GB1…and so many others!

I can’t do it, either. Top five (in no particular order) are:

PM2 M390
Endela SE
ZDP Stretch 1 lightweight
Manix 2 LW S110V, waved

Re: Playing favorites
PM 2 in 52100 and K390 Endela get the most pocket time during the week. Pacific Salt 2 on the weekends but fully expecting my new Stretch 2 in ZDP189 to take over after it gets returned from repairs as it is new to me.
