Re: Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban
Got mine late Thursday and carried it all day yesterday, it's a beautiful piece- you can even see the distinct twist pattern on the spine on the blade. Mine is rock solid in every position, I'm actually hoping it loosens up a bit as it breaks in because the open and close are currently so much stiffer than I'm used to with locking knives. But I do realize that's a safety feature, not a flaw.
One thing to be aware of is that the ivory scales picked up some blue staining after riding around clipped to the pocket of my jeans for the day. It came off with a little scrubbing with an alcohol wipe but this is going to be one that takes a bit of extra TLC to keep it looking good while also carrying and using it.

Got mine, and it’s another excellent Urban example! The scales weren’t as refined as I would have liked, so a little wet sanding with 2000 grit did the trick. Also found out it’s a lot harder to take pictures of Damasteel that I thought.

Looks nice. Did you disassemble fully/ partly or pull hardware for sanding?Dazen wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 1:08 pmGot mine, and it’s another excellent Urban example! Re: Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban
The patterns on all the blades posted so far look great! Hard to tell from the photos is there any polish on the blade or is it more of a matte finish? Mine is taking the scenic route here, seems to have stopped in Puerto Rico on it's trip from Ohio to California.

All is right with the world. My replacement Urban is immaculate, the lock up is solid open and closed, my faith restored. I'm very happy.

Awesome. Glad it is put right. Its a lot of money to spend, to only be disappointed.
