am i the only one that thinks that handle looks really uncomfortable? this knife looks like it was designed for the sock drawer and not the hand.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

I like the tip of the Stovepipe the way it is because it makes it look like a Rhinoceros with a blunted horn!
I like the look in the open position, but folded it looks like a nightmare to pocket.

That’s the biggest issue I have with it which is how wide it is when closed and not pocket friendly. I’d never carry it because of that and the weight of 4.9 ounces. I carry slim and light folders weighing about 2-3.25 ounces.

I bet it'll be shown at bladeshow and we will get to see the video on knifecenter or bladehq, etc.

These are really supposed to be coming soon. So, I expect them to show it at SHOT Show next week and ship them to dealers next month.

Soft Reveals can be prepared very quickly after we receive stock, allowing us to announce and deliver that product in a very timely manner.

Hopefully for $420, Taichung will honor the titanium clip unlike what they did with the Swayback throwing on some jank shiny clip as an after thought.
I fixed my Swayback by swapping the Ti clip off my Caribbean, but that still rubs me wrong.

I don’t really understand the intent of the design? Does it have a specific function?

Maybe Sal can explain this one? Cleavers seem to be popular right know? I'm lost on the function over form?

Very cool and a unique piece, that spine gives me Jester feels. But for being a practical folder, I know where I'm going if I'm spending $400+ when it comes to well made titanium scaled knives. Anywho, kudos to Spyderco and the collab to thinking outside the box on this one!
Shiro for me :winking-tongue
One of these days! I've actually got a beauty of a CRK that should be showing up tomorrow. There goes a good 6 months knife budget! Here a few weeks ago I said I was going to work with what I've already got in the collection...there goes that idea a week into the new year :smirk

This one is for higher end collectors. I warned that Spyderco had to go up market sooner or later.

CRK Small Inkosi Insingo has the same blade length as Stovepipe and with titanium clip it’s $375 (all materials made in the U.S.). Stovepipe has the superior 20CV vs S35VN for all CRK. Inkosi weighs 2 ounces less and is much slimmer (width and thickness when closed).

CRK has slowly been moving towards S45VN this past year or so. Baby steps for them I guess!

Hinderer did the right thing by going straight from S35VN to 20CV.

That's completely subjective. I have a lot of each. I like both but I honestly think if I had to pick one it would be S35VN

Now that the other "Rick" has finally answered all southpaw's dreams with the new lefty XM-18, I also "know" where my 400+ bucks for Ti knives will go too. 😉

I've been looking at Hinderers more often than usually lately. A couple members have been posting theirs in the "others" thread. Those skinny versions are pretty nice. Also nice when lefties get some premium options!

Personally I can’t wrap my head around this blade design in a folder . What is the benefit of the blade design ? The knife looks very well thought out and made . Since it is a righty only I guess I will not have to worry about a purchase . I definitely would like to hear comments from Sal about this knife it would be interesting. MG2

I love this, even if i cant stop imagining a Breeden Rescue dipped in robot sauce. I will sell knives to fund this if only to support the absence of a lanyard hole. Thank [insert faith] that the clip is straight down the handle, i lose sleep over the skewed clips that cowtow to lanyard gapes.
