Of course it's a real story. Why, I took this photo of this very knife this afternoon. Yeah, I already own one too, sent to me straight from Eric Glesser, along with a box of chocolates. What, you don't have one yet??

It's on the internet, so you can believe it.

I am sure you also have the fully serrated version... care to share a pic of that one too? ;)

I’m wondering what the MAP pricing will be after seeing the price jump of the screw construction SPY27 lightweight but there again all Manix models across the board have increased . MG2

i hope it's not more expensive than the spy27 version, but spyderco has me on this one. the price would have to be astronomical for me to pass on what could basically be my ultimate knife.

I agree , passing on the Native just because the Manix Salt will be coming . I guess it’s a Manix priority! ;) Dan

Hat's off to you Larrin. I'm carrying a Manix with Magnacut. Very sharp. Took a beautiful edge. Also doing very well in our corrosion test tank, after 10 days. Gonna be fun.

sal
i know the manix is a little less popular than some other models (even though there is quite a bit of groaning about those models of late), but i'm excited to see there is at least one magnacut manix in existence. here's to a lot more and one in my pocket!

feel free to join me in excitement and voice your support for a magnacut manix.
Pardon my ignorance, Magnacut? I must look that up.
Ok, I'm up to speed now. It sounds like a nice knife.

you had me until you said translucent. they've already said it would be yellow like the native salt. i'd still buy it with horrible translucent yellow, but i'd be doing a blade swap immediately. i'd like to see a blacked out version though.

Funny how 'translucent' FRCP polarizes folks. I love the stuff and would love to see more of it in darn near any color. I currently have the M2 LW in blue BD1N and green 20CV. Great sunny day, outside carry knives.

i'm not anti-translucent, but translucent yellow sounds really ugly to me. it might be a problem putting out a translucent yellow right now with all the ultem craze too.
