Anyone want to hazard a guess on the HT? I'm guessing 62, with lesser odds on 61 or 63.
The Mule was 62 and mine performed well but given the way other makers have brought it to market at 62-63 I would hope for 63-64.

Guys, I also ordered a Hogue Deka Magnacut with frn scales while I was waiting for this Native 5.

Should receive it tomorrow or the next day. Have any of you also ordered the Deka because you just wanted SOMETHING in Magnacut while waiting for the PE Native 5 to drop? If so, did you like it?

My plan was to order the OG GOAT aluminum scales, and, all in, I would still be at around $200 for a really nice looking knife with a great fidget friendly axis-like lock and great steel.

Yeah, the Mule was good, but maybe use in a small folder warrants a different heat treat , more oriented towards high end cutting performance instead of toughness? My dream is that BBB helped them with heat treats across the board and the MagnaCut results also benefited from that. No idea if true, I guess we'll have to wait until someone actually tests it.

Not sure about across the board, but I believe I read he did help with the Magnacut heat treat. The focus, I think, was on edge stability and ease of deburring.

I didn’t like mine much, but I think that had more to do with the handle design than anything else. My hand was too far back from the blade and I didn’t like the amount of control I felt was lacking. Whereas with say, a Delica, that wasn’t an issue.

Got one (plain edge) ordered from GPKnives. Should be here by the weekend. I've had MagnaCut fixed blades for quite some time now, and used them thoroughly, so the steel isn't going to hold any surprises for me. But this is just in time to be my warm season hiking/fishing knife, and I'm definitely looking forward to that. Headed out for a hiking/camping trip at the end of April, so that should be a real good chance for me to see how it works for me.

Saw an email from Knife Center right after this email. Got all excited. Nope, "we haven't forgotten your order" email.

That one trips me up too.

I was really hoping this last one would be a ship notice. No such luck. We’re getting close though, right? Right?? 😬

When I bought my se version from Spyderco sfo it said lc200 but was magnacut. I guess you could always call before purchasing. Some places haven’t updated their descriptions yet.

Received my N5 Salt yesterday, edge bevels are the most even I've seen in my last few knives. The others weren't terrible by any means, just slightly inconsistent along the length of the blade. Yellow is definitely not a color I'm crazy about so I'll probably dye the handle eventually.

So far I'm still edc'ing my K390 PM2 (it's growing on me much more than I expected). It's going to be a while before I get a feel for the magnacut blade. I'm sure I'll love it, just based on the reviews from people I trust and respect. Where it will fit among my favorite steels, I'm honestly not sure. I do love my Rex45 N5 though, so it'll be tough to top that one.

Mine arrived this morning and took up residence in my pocket. The grind is even, the blade is wicked sharp, and the construction is flawless. Can’t wait to cut some s***!

Thanks for your impressions guys, I was tempted to order the blue Deka for the same reason (to have something in Magnacut), glad I resisted the urge.

I received the GPKnives Rex45 Satin Native 5 last week and the Magnacut PE Native 5 yesterday. Both are perfect in every aspect, and very sharp!

Same here, both knives are outstanding. I've been tempted to get the SPY27 N5 as well but something else always comes up. Still wish it was possible to swap scales to micarta but other than that, I'm more than pleased. I love the leaf blades.
