I canceled my pre-order from there, which was placed back in June of last year, and have one arriving from National Knives tomorrow. The NK price is about the same as the 9 month old pre-order price. And for me NK is no tax, so it will be cheaper.

KC pre-orders are usually more trouble than they are worth unless it is a restock of an older release.

I am sticking with my pre-order with Knifecenter since I got them to change it to the Black Friday Pricing. It is annoying though that it is crickets from them. Then again, what is another month after almost a year and change.

In today from National Knives:

This PE lady is getting to know her SE sister. Both perfect out of the box. For me the PE will get more use, but having the SE for so long before the new girl arrived gave me a new appreciation for the SE way.

New member to the forum, Knifeplus have the PE Native 5 Magnacut in stock as of March 31th, 2 AM CST.

Ordered one myself, will be my first Native 5, and first lockback. Currently own a Maxamet Para 3 and 15V PM 2. Thinking about buying a K390 Delica or Stretch 2 for breaking down cardboards. Have to wait and see how this MC N5 handle cardboard duty.

The N5 has the best kickback I’ve ever used. The Chap comes close, but **** is that bad thin.

Let somebody borrow my MagnaCut Native to cut some "insulation." Naturally it was not too sharp when I got it back, though there was no edge damage apart from that. Touched it up on a double stuff, edge came back pretty nicely. I will probably touch it back up on diamond abrasives once I get home as that's the edge I prefer.

Stretch 2 in K390 is a great knife, I highly recommend.

I'm exactly where you are Gtscotty. But I'm so indecisive everyone will be out before I actually make my mind up.

Well I was at St. Nick's knives today and they'd just gotten PE N5 MagnaCut Salts in and had a 10% sale so.... I'll need to be cancelling my Knife center order.

I do like the slightly darker yellow as compared to my older H1 Salt. Now to figure out what color I want to dye it, I'm thinking racing read at the back fading to yellow in the front.... Maybe the same type fade with blue or navy would be good though....

I just got off the phone with Knife Center. Their rep. said that the PE have been slowly trickling in and they have been filling back orders as they come in. It sounds like they are getting a pretty small allocation compared to the size of their business.

Last two purchases, both in MC, can't wait for my red rit dye to show up so I can spice the N5 up a bit.

Same, but every time I watch another DCA video I decide to give them just a little longer. I think I may have Stockholm Syndrome.

Don't have an artsy bone in my body, but I got the new N5 dipped last night. It's looks slightly lower key in the pocket now, although I wouldn't mind the whole thing being that color red.
