Now that this is sold out, looks like the Red Fat Carbon PM2 is in the way!

Does the paperwork for the DLC Jungle Wear say that there’ll be a Satin version as well?

Yes it did. So it will be the same as the Artic Fat Carbon, in which the DLC version was released first followed by the Satin version a couple weeks down the road.

Why is the PM2 so popular? I’m not being a jerk, I am just being totally honest. I don’t think it’s anything special is it?

Because it has so many variants that it has become the next big thing for knife collectors active in Facebook, Instagram and other social media.

PM2 is very popular for dealers as Exclusives because it sells out the fastest.

I hate that internet tools have put me off to the PM2. I rarely even watch youtube "reviews" these days, there's more than enough "IG famous knife influencer's" out there. SG said it perfectly.

The pm2 was my first spyderco and its a great knife imo. Do I want or need every single version out there?...no. I will try for this one because I don't have a single red knife in my collection besides a sak. Plus the scales look cool and coated M4 is sweet! I skipped the last 2 but I want some red for Xmas carry.

The PM2 is one of those knives that's in the ideal size range for most people, it has a comfortable handle (often mentioned alongside the Manix), and the blade shape is incredibly versatile, despite the thin tip. The knife feels lightweight, yet sturdy, and in my opinion, carries like a smaller knife.

Well, as a person who is really not a big fan (anymore) I can say in all honesty it's an excellent design, I just changed my preferences and other knives have filled those preferences better. I think Spyderco are their own worst competition in this way, but the design itself is nearly perfect for the average hand size at least. For me I would much rather have several other models and I currently only own two PM2's and I don't carry or even use either one but I can't fault the design for my change in tastes.

Will be interesting to see if there's some PM2 saturation with all these SMKW drops. The Artic Storm DLC sold out same day. Satin version took days. Jungle Wear DLC took 3 days. Satin...? I'm always curious of market trends.
Jungle Wear looks good to me, I have one on the way.

i think this has a lot to do with the fact that it's a great knife that rose to popularity when knife reviewing started getting popular.

personally, it's not for me, but i fully understand why people love it. i prefer the handle, blade shape, and value of the manix over the pm2 though.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

It's a fine knife, but it's just endlessly hyped, so dealers jump in on the train

I'd like SOME attention focused on other models (or a new Golden model with more delica/chaparral cutting geometry)

I love the fat carbon, just not on the PM2 where it's just flat slabs - and it definitely goes better with the black blades (IMHO)

Pretty good time to be a M4 fan. Actually, pretty good time to be a Spyderco fan.
