The fact that it did not sell out within more than 3 hours is a hint as to why we don't see more of these in different sprint runs and dealer exclusives. There are knives that just don't get to ride the hype wave. Look at the Tuff from DLT Trading - still available.
I bet it has to do with that color. I'm sorry to anybody that likes it, but to me (and a couple of the knife nerds here at work) it just screams limp wrist/skinny jeans.

Probably. I had to close my eyes to order; I like the scale texture, the knife size, the blade steel and the lock so well, I turned a blind eye to the color. Am hoping for a slightly larger Chaparral, and have always wanted a screw construction Caly 3 with a comp lock--this seems close.

I will DEFINITELY be carrying this knife when I wear my skinny jeans and go limp-wristed for the day. Don't you know that mint green is fabulous, sweetheart?

Well hunny, that certainly would suffice...but only if it's stored in your sock drawer after carrying!

I always said that BHQ should have used the GITD FRN for their M4 series of exclusives. The GITD FRN looks just like the Jade G10, and has the extra benefit of glowing in the dark! I love my GITD Spydies. Maybe they will still do it for a series of GITD M4 Seki knives.

It's a shame never nailed down a good FRN color for their M4 exclusives. Seems to be a work in progress based on what's available?

i wish we could get some cool exclusives or sprints in steels that don't actively try to destroy themselves in our planet's atmosphere. i really don't get all the m4 hype or understand why people want knives that happily assist entropy.

That's what Rit Dye was made for!

Here's my S90V Native that started out as teal: https://www.instagram.com/p/CTDNF-ZPtY_/

And my LC200N Salt 2 that started out as electric green: https://www.instagram.com/p/CO53FF6DnJi/

I had no idea how easy it was until I tried it myself. Blade HQ has a tutorial on YouTube about it. Just make sure to get the "DyeMore" synthetic dye, which works much better with FRN.

That green does look better on the Salt 2. I dyed my DLT Exclusive Endela.

The nice thing about the light green on the Sage is it gives you more color options. Or you could always go black.

Question about Rit or DyeMore Dye ... if the knife gets wet, does the dye transfer to hands, clothing, etc?

Crap. This may have to be the end of collecting all the Sages. The pace of releases has been easy to keep up with until now, and they will likely want even more $$$ for the DLC version.

I had a good chuckle at this one LB! :winking-tongue

But yeah, I do agree with you, M4 is amazing and all, but it just doesn't last in our climate without some form of protective coating which you have to reapply time and again.

Not in my experience. But I’ve only used Rit Dyemore and wipe scales down with alcohol before reassembly.

It doesn't transfer. I have had mine wet and zero worries at all. I haven't had it long enough to see how the color holds up, but it seems like it penetrated pretty well.

Here is a shot from Spydiebro 'advan' who made his mint green more of a mid-tone kelly or jungle green:

I would personally do a quick dip in a royal blue or long dip in a light blue.

I must be the only one who likes the mint green, but I wish it was a chaparral. Do they make size 40x30 skinny jeans?

If you like mint green, just wave it in the air like you don't care. And be proud of it . I'm just glad they are doing non-black colors and changing it up. I like black, but it gets a little old. Although, with black the wife may not know it's a new knife.

The mint color isn’t for me, but an all blacked out sage would be right up my alley.
