I kind of wish the color was a little more faded and leaned a bit more towards "sage green" but I still like that a lot! I'm definitely tempted by it but I'm hoping it drops after the seconds sale!

Darn, I want it...
Imma have to start swapping some stuff ! Especially since it's duper hard to get exclusives in Europe (no matter the method, way more money needed for it).
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

I really like it on paper, but I'm not sure how much carry time it would see...it seems a little too redundant for me to actually purchase. I know that it's going to be an outstanding knife though, honestly, I'm tempted just because it's something new.
So it goes.

Curious how this will sell.. could be kind of an indicator if the Sage 5 LW can possibly become the "small comp lock knife that gets all the variants" instead of the Para 3 ?

I'd not be opposed to that, and it actually could make sense marketing wise (no Para 3 bashing, but there are undeniably many more NOT yet done variants left for the Sage 5 LW than for the Para 3)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Good to see this model getting some love!
I think that combination of materials suits the Sage 5 lwt rather well and makes it an alluring exclusive for sure.

I hope spyderco will release another backlock sage in the future. Doesn’t need to be as fancy as the sage 4. Just fully ambidextrous

I’m the same way Jim. Shows it on their website and you can see the pic on the Instagram link without an account. Not sure if this will work but I’ll try...

Oh and kudos to BHQ for choosing the less travelled road for this exclusive.

I'm not sure about the mint green but I've been waiting on a Sage 5 LW exclusive. So I'll pick up one of these if I can. I might even dye the FRN

Yes, this.

Love the Sage design, but prefer a back lock nowadays and the lefty PM2 has soured me on regular comp locks

Love the idea of more Sage LW variants though.

Oh this one is in my future. And a search for the right RIT dye. Great idea Mushroom.

This looks promising. Hoping that CutleryShoppe does a Sage 5 LW in their orange/black colorway with CTS-XHP steel.
