I got mine today. It actually came with a piece of mint gum in the box lol. It is super smooth. No lock stick. I actually very impressed with the one I got.

This is one of the reasons I rarely order from Blade HQ anymore. They're based in Utah and I live in Idaho. But they ship from a warehouse back east often. I get my knives faster from National Knives or DLT by far. Congrats for those of you who got yours already. Pics would be good.

Lol! It's definitely minty (or sea foamy). I can also say that out of the box the edge is probably the most sticky sharp I've witnessed on a new knife. The action's pretty great too

My first Sage. I think I am going to like it. I like the light weight heft, it that makes sense.

Perfection in all aspects - sharp and even edge, centered, strong detent, no blade play, smooth. Very impressed with the compression lock on this one.

You're sure there's going to be a coated version? You don't see too many coated variations coming out of Taichung. For those they've done weren't they actually TiCN?

I think somebody posted a pic of the write-up that comes in the box from Spyderco and it mentions a TiCn version too!

Not sure I will keep this up with exclusives now being a thing, especially with questionable color choices :P Looks better in person IMO though. The mmmm4 is tasty as ever.

The Sage5 continues to be the best implementation of a compression lock I have ever had... Super smooth action with perfect tolerances, no lock stick, and that extra angle on the lock tab is a little touch that makes a big difference.

Good to know...I don't have a lot of comp locks so am pleased I got a good one. Agree with your review. Regards photos, most the photos I'm looking at in this thread have more blue in them than my Sage has. Many photos look more blue-green...mine is definitely green...closest to MRJ's photos, but more vibrant. Must be my monitor.

can you share a pic of the thickness? i've been wanting to try a chaparral, but i think the sage might be better for me.

You're killing me here.
That's an awesome collection abbazaba.
Taichung does the best work IMHO
Might have to bite on the uncoated version.
