there was talk of the lil native salt. they even made the blades.

The Lil Native might work in the category. It is not the most size efficient, but it would be okay as a Salt. The Urban has a longer cutting edge. I am not asking for an Urban Salt, just something in that size. Perfect for the pocket and useable.

For me it's still an Endela sized model that's missing most here (admittedly I don't care for the salt-, but for the linerless lightweight aspect).

... unless one counts the Atlantic Salt as such a model. In the current form though it has a too soecialized bladeshape, but with different bladeshapea (leaf-, drop point...) I'd be perfectly happy. PM2 handle shape, but contoured and a bit more compact while offering more cutting edge and superlight.
See this poll I started once about this:
viewtopic.php?t=88094&start=20

If "saltifying" a Seki midsized model I hope it will be the Endela and not the Stretch.
Don't get me wrong, the Stretch is great, but for me the Salts are all about light weight and the Endela platform will always be lighter than the Stretch platform.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

As with all these kinds of threads, what you should be asking is "what other knife are you willing to see disco'd in order to make room for this new model?" Spyderco seems to wisely control the total number of active SKUs at any one time.

So, what are you willing to sacrifice?

Hope for you it will be soon!

I am so glad I have one, actually a really generous gift by forum brother Pancake.
Great model.

For a linerless Endela Salt SE?!

I guess I'd be ready to sacrifice 90% of Spydercos line up (I mean one model out of that 90% of course ;) ) for that... :smirk

I'll add a bow river... That would make a nice salt knife.

I would get one of those, but it would, of course, be more expensive than the current Bow River.

i can't believe i forgot to advocate that all sd knives should be offered in h1. at very least, a matriarch 2 in coated se h1 just makes sense to me. i like to carry my pac salt in my waistband. a matriarch salt is probably the only knife that could replace it.

A full size Dyad in LC would be one of those dream spydies...at least for me ! Just imagine one with black coated blades and toxic green FRN handle. Eye candy :astonished

For sure! Maybe even go the full USN style, including their goat logo. That’d be sweet stuff!

there are a lot of us that would buy a blacked out dragonfly in lc200n (or even h1) immediately.

Para 2 in vanex. I mean they’ve done sprints and exclusives in every other steel under the sun. Why not a bright yellow or green g10 para 2 in vanex for the salt line.
