I never lived through the release of an Spyderco Forum Birthday knife, Is it something every member of the forum can buy ? I am deeply hurt to have not had the chance to buy the Native 5 from last time !
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

It's been said that exclusives are taking a year plus to be produced for dealers...

I think you guys should be looking at the 2023 Spyderco Forum knife at this point because I think it is already much too late for a 2022 forum knife.

Pretty down for just about anything, but I have been especially interested in cheaper and tougher steels lately. 52100 and AEB-L are cool.

I've also been interested in "funner" handle colors.

I think we should let Spyderco catch up on production and catch their breath before we pressure them into a forum knife, as much as I would like to see one.

I don't think we are at all in a position where we can pressure Spyderco into anything. We are supporters, not decision makers. Phrasing interest is what we do. And Sal stated many many times that he and the gang are interested in our opinions.

Whenever the catching up on regular models' production has been finished, the start of a new Forum Knife is welcomed by me. We have the luxory of putting on virtual paper what would be nice to get already now. :smlling-eyes No pressure.

Have I mentioned that I'd like to own a Lil Native Slippie with SPY27? ;) Preferrably a G10 version. :squinting-tongue

Locking, not a slipit but sub 3“ would be great. Any model that meets those criteria. If I could persuade Spyderco to make a knife it would be a Millie in SPY 27 or Magnacut.
:spyder: Shaman REX 45, Smock, Baby Jess Horn CE, Spydiechef, Schempp Bowie,Ti Fluted Military, Titanium Military, Native S30 V and G10, PM 2 in S35VN, and S110V, Manix 2 LW BD1 and SPY 27, Sage 5, Positron black CPM S30V, Chaparral w/Raffir Noble scales, SuperLeaf VG 10, Ladybug H1, Dragonfly 2 in ZDP 189 and Superblue/420J1 and H1, Delica in ZDP 189, Clipitool Standard, the Cook’s knife VG10, Santoku, paring and utility knives, all in MBS 26. :spyder:

Since we're asking... What about that laser pointer feature that was discussed not so long ago?
Besides, why settle for one steel when there are so many on the market?
I'm not talking about different steel offers on the same model, I'm asking two steels on the same blade... Like clad steel but with 2 steels on the edge: combination of attributes, that could be enhanced by the dual grit sharpening method.
My vote is for a Native 5 with Maxamet and LC200N combination... And don't forget the laser!

Military or Para Military 2 in Magnacut.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Is the Military the oldest design in current production? A special edition could be just the ticket.

I'd be happy with SPY-27 and that could be a good celebration of Spyderco's new steel. We should also think about MagnaCut. It was designed by Larrin Thomas, who has been an important figure in the knife community. It should have excellent properties and I've been eager to see it in production knives.

While I like the idea of a less expensive version in BD1N, that shouldn't be a special edition. That's the kind of thing I wish Spyderco would do for a bunch of current models. It's both a good upgrade from VG-10 and a good alternative to S30V that could be offered at a more attractive price.

Resurrecting this thread to suggest the DAMASTEEL UKPK that was polled, collated and voted.

Leaf blade, Ivory G10 and Borkmans twist I think it was?
