Another vote for a Lil Native Slippie. SPY27 sounds like the right choice for a :bug-red-white FK.

Many of those are great suggestions and as in the last thread (I think I started) I pointed out that many of those knives would exclude out brothers and sisters in places that do not allow locking knives or that have blade length restrictions. For that reason, the UKPK or the slipit Lil Native would be the best choice.
While it’s always a nice gesture to keep every potential buyer in mind, restrictions does not equal prohibition.
As I understand, slipjoints under a certain blade length is more or less unregulated in UK and DK, while knives that doesn’t fit within those limitations can still be used, but under much stricter regime.

I don’t have strong opinions on what a forum knife should look like, but it seems hard enough to find a model, materials and finish that most can get behind. And numbers are important to make this thing feasible in the first place. If it ends up being a world legal slipjoint, that should be as a result of an unrestricted vetting process. Those who want a possible forum knife bad enough should be able to buy it and use it to some extent anyways, as long as it isn’t an auto.

So, under the premise that my opinions on a possible forum knife is not of the strong kind, I’m just throwing this out there.

I wouldn’t mind a sheepsfoot slippie.
If it isn’t a great business case for it in the form of regular production, then maybe as a forum knife?

UKPK sheepsfoot slippie in LC200N would be pretty much impossible to resist.

Alternatively, a sheepsfoot LC200N lil’native. Could be slipjoint or backlock, doesn’t really matter.

Yep, my needs for sheepsfoot knives is clearly under stimulated.

I think we should let Spyderco catch up on production and catch their breath before we pressure them into a forum knife, as much as I would like to see one.

I’m all for anything Spyderco but to honor Spyderco let’s think about supporting their new steel? I think it would be a great gesture from us to support the work they done to create their own steel . Just tossing it out there . Regards MG2

I don't think a Forum knife is in the cards. Maybe 2023.

So far a gather that the Lil’ Native SLIPIT in SPY27 is popular. So how about SE SPY27 and in something other than blue to set it apart from regular production. Maybe Burgundy :winking-tongue

Having “Forum Knife 2022” engraved down the spine or backspacer would look rad as well!

Just kidding. How about a Pingo in a cool steel and FRN based on your suggestion?
A Pingo is a cool knife. I'd rather have the similar sized Lil Native Slipit in a cool steel, though.
