The coin doesn't really scratch the blade so much as coin rubs off onto the blade. The effect looks the same. If that's what happened some Fitz might clean it off.kobold wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 3:22 pm

Without being able to see the picture, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that OP is actually Gargamel and this was caused by the Smurfs he was trying to capture.

Did you ever sharpen it on a Worksharp Knife and Tool Sharpener (belt version) or similar. If you don't put tape on the blade, the residue of grit on the guides will mark it up exactly like the picture shows/showed.
