Sal - YOU are not listening - we want Manix with laser.
Inspired by other threads on this forum, I thought I'd try publicly shaming Sal into putting a laser aiming system on the Manix. Isn't internet public shaming the way to get what you want in today's world? I am forever cutting in the wrong place, and if the Manix just had a laser mounted aiming system, that would shine where it was gonna cut, I could be a LOT more accurate with my cutting. But does Sal listen? No. The marketplace demands this. How do I know this? Because I am demanding it, and to quote that late great Louis XIV, "L'Marquetplac, c'est moi."
Anything can be improved by mounting a laser on it, this is common knowledge. Manix with laser targeting. Make it happen, Spyderco.
I have several other demands, but will save them for other confrontive threads:
A third clip mounting option: sideways (because sometimes you want the knife horizontal in your pocket).
Scented red FRN handles that smell like strawberries.
A harmonica built into a Shaman handle, I think it's thick enough to handle it.
A blade shaped like a woman's breast, that folds into a handle that looks like a bra.
A Spyderco with bluetooth built in, that allows me to re-program my knife (change blade angles, etc) with my iPhone.
^ All of the above with lasers, of course.

Haha.
In all seriousness, wasn’t there some talk about them working on an FRN Manix with a built in LED flashlight?

There better be a left handed laser beam option for us southpaws.
Because desolate places allow us to breathe. And most people don't even know they're out of breath.

While we are at it!
All the Salt series knives should be wired for sound and play the Jaws theme music every time they are opened.
The laser sight should go on the Spyderco throwing knives.
Would be best on the hilt and four lasers would be required, each side, front and back. It would give the user greater choice in how they held the knife when throwing.
And wouldn’t the knife in flight be a sight to behold.
(Warning: Users should wear a welding helmet when throwing this knife. To avoid the inevitable eye damage that the lasers will cause.)

This made me laugh more than it should have. Well played all!
Re: Sal - YOU are not listening - we want Manix with laser.
Are we demanding a red or green laser? Should I start a poll?
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

I’m in for the Shaman with harmonica.

I want a knife that can un-cut something as well as cut. Come on Sal, get with the program! Make it happen!

Re: Sal - YOU are not listening - we want Manix with laser.
I conducted a poll of myself, my wife and my two-year-old daughter on this topic. 66.66% of us wanted the Manix laser, meaning that the vast majority of Spyderco’s tens of thousands of customers are also clamoring for lasers.
It is truly shameful that Spyderco isn’t acceding to my every demand.

LOL!! It's a great idea! Why hasn't Sal invented the un-cut already? What, is he resting on his laurels?

Legend has it that Sal has made a knife so thin a blade stock and so thin BTE and so sharp, that any material it cuts is so clean on the molecular level it will instantly reattach itself as if it were not cut at all. (I think I have been watching too many samurai anime)

I'll take a Manix with a laser. While we're at it, I want it with multiple locks too. No longer would we have to decide between a backlock and a cbbl. Might need to find a friend to help close it but I'll figure that out later.

Very reasonable demands, no doubt. I demand extra lasers on the Cat model. This is not negotiable.
