UKPK Wharnie?

#1

Post by Bemo »

Hey everyone hope you and yours are safe and well.
I finally received my HH UKPK and have been EDC'ing it daily. I really like the UKPK design and am eagerly awaiting my salt versions arriving (um yeah, not sure I'll do a multiple knife order and opt for the fewer box option again). I got my Salt 2 Wharnie out and was comparing it to my UKPK. Got me thinking, has there ever been a a Wharnie option on the UKPK? I missed out on the Wharnie Urbans but would love, just love to have a Wharnie UKPK. Did I miss the boat on this already?

Thanks

There has never been a ukpk wharncliffe but that’s a fantastic idea. I’d buy it.
Most recently acquired: Military 2, Paramilitary 2 Tanto x2, YoJUMBO, Swayback, Siren, DLC Yojimbo 2, Native Chief, Shaman S90V, Para 3 LW, Ikuchi, UKPK, Smock, SUBVERT, Amalgam, Para 3 CTS-XHP, Kapara, Paramilitary 2 M390
Grail Paramilitary 2 M390 X 2! ACHIEVED!!

Yeah I keep offering up ideas for Spyderco to take my money. I seem to have a talent for that.

Add me to that list. I’ll take two PE and SE.

I would also pick one up in a heartbeat.

Does anyone know if Spyderco has ever produced a wharncliffe with a choil?

I love the wharncliffe profile and getting that extra bit of control and precision from a choil would be useful.

I brought this up a while back and it seemed to be very popular, even Sal said he was watching the responses. I would think we will see them soon!

A rescue model might be interesting with a full Spyderedge.

They've already done that -- twice:

S30/G10: https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/detail ... Orange/435

GIN1/FRN: https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/detail ... roduct=475

But I doubt anyone would complain if they brought it back with the current BD1N steel.

Cool, I had no knowledge of either of those, does anyone that has one care to share/comment?

I'd snag one in a heartbeat

I'm liking the sheepsfoot suggestions. Think Pingo profile blade in the UKPK frame. A little belly on a sheepsfoot is a good thing.

yes. We have good steel choices now. Plus, the CQI has made this a much better knife.

100% into this.

I am a ukpk pervert, mostly because it's the only Spyderco I can have in the UK.

I would maybe like it in a fun handle colour (blurple) with an interesting steel.

My apologies Dazen! And to my chagrin, I commented twice in that thread! I know Sal was watching that thread, wish they could be merged. So everyone who hasn't gone to that thread and voted, please do so!
