S/S Delica

#1

Post by Jimd »

I just got a Stainless Steel handled Delica PE, slightly used.

I traded some of my artwork for it with a coworker. I'm just wondering about how much a used one is worth? It's got great lock-up and has tiny scratches, most likely from being carried in a pocket.

I'm not wild about the knife, but I figured it's a Spyderco, and at some point, I can trade it for another model that I like better.

Anyone?

with a NIB/Mint one going for 69usd at factory, a used(lightly used, carry scratches) would be about 40-45usd trade value. A heavy use one(not abused)(blade scratched up, handle dinged up, tip reformed) would be about 20-30usd trade value, d/p on condition.

For a lightly used SS Delica...$40 trade value...$45 if it has the Boye dent. Light scratches on the stainless scales are normal, and are to be expected unless the knife is never carried or touched. It seems like some of them will develop scratches just by looking at them too hard. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I have had a few stainless handled Spydercos that I brought back to life with a Scotch-Brite pad. It had enough texture to give the handle the same original "brushed" finish. Of course like any advice, try at your own risk. Spyderwa
