With 'from you guys', do you mean SPYDERCO.COM, or us the forumities?

Some viruses steal the mail addresses from the address book and send mails on their behalf. If the subject line is ambiguous and the size is large just erase them without opening. This still works...

I received 54 of those e-mail messages today. Fortunately my virusdetector did what it was supposed to do.
Mails came from: Rorschach, Barefoot....,Voxnaes, Spyderco, jparson, etc. Must be something going on.

Clipits work!

I woke up to find my mailbox jammed with email from everyone with pif attachments. Most seem to have Spyderco connections. My virusscanner seems to have caught and flagged them as viruses. Be careful and don't open any attachments. Good luck.

I got the same crap. When I logged on to check my Hotmail email this morning, I had 68 emails waiting for me (usually about 8-10), and about 95% were virus (mainly with connections to Spyderco.com). I also NEVER open attachments, but THANK GOD for Norton Anti-Virus, and their "live-updates".

Greetings~
I would recommend that you give Mz glesser a call at 800-828-1925 ext. #100 and let her know what's going on with her company's email addy's. The server at SFO went down around 4:00 pm on Friday..Aug. 16th. Same time the "blast" virus struck. I'm sure the company would want to do whatever it takes to remedy the problem.

Simona is right. Here is a link to an PC World article about the virus. Evidently it harvests email addresses from the victim's computer than sends out email with the harvested email addresses listed as the sender. That is why you might get mail listed as returned to you even though you did not send it out. Your address was taken and is being used by proxy. Getting returned mail does not mean your computer is infected. I would still scan to make sure. Spyderwa

Simona~
prose@spyderco.com was my email address at SFO. I have not used this address since Aug. 16th. I would delete any emails you see coming from this address.

Yeah, my mailbox was stuffed with 'em, too. About 50-60 of them from some of the above named addresses.

I just deleted them all.
